Here are two litmus tests to help:

1. How important is it to you that other people agree with this decision? The thing is, the happier you are with your decisions the less you need other people to be happy with them. The more you love your decisions the less you will need others to love them.

2. What is that gentle voice with you saying? And perhaps more importantly, are you listening to it knowing that it never leads you astray or trying to ignore it? All of life’s regrets come from ignoring that voice within you. 

If you are having trouble deciding, the first thing to do is to take away what everyone else wants you to do, and listen to that gentle voice within you.”
