We all get stressed - it's a natural part of life.  And the more ways we have of managing it, the better.  But not many people know the soothing effects of art on stress levels.  Not only that but it is a wonderful way to access mindfulness.  It also fosters more self-insight and helps you to express yourself in ways that words don't always achieve, connecting you to your deeper self.  Art can be considered a respite from whatever is stressing you out.  And, if, like me, you want your art to be perfect, it can also help you deal with your perfectionism in a more accepting way, says art and wellbeing coach Rebecca Bush in this lovely interview.
