  • Roland N. Horne is the Thomas Davies Barrow Professor of Earth Sciences at Stanford University, and Senior Fellow in the Precourt Institute for Energy. He holds BE, PhD and DSc degrees from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, all in Engineering Science.

    He is best known for his work in well test interpretation, production optimization, and analysis of fractured reservoirs. So far in his academic career he has supervised the graduate research of 60 PhD and 135 MS students. He is an Honorary Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), and a member of the US National Academy of Engineering. He served on the International Geothermal Association (IGA) Board 1998-2001, 2001-2004, and 2007-2010, and was the 2010-2013 President of IGA. 

    He was the Technical Program chair of the World Geothermal Congress in 2005, 2010, 2015 and 2020.Horne has been an SPE Distinguished Lecturer (1998, 2009 and 2020), and has been awarded the SPE Distinguished Achievement Award for Petroleum Engineering Faculty, the Lester C. Uren Award, and the John Franklin Carl Award. From Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), he received the Best Paper in “Geophysics” in 2011, and from SPE he received Best Paper in Journal of Petroleum Technology (1992) and Best Paper in SPE Formation Evaluation (1993). He has also received five Best Paper awards from Geothermal Resources Council (GRC). He is a Fellow of the School of Engineering, University of Tokyo (2016) and also an Honorary Professor of China University of Petroleum – East China (2016).

  • Malcolm Woolf is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Hydropower Association. Woolf comes to NHA after decades of experience in the energy and environment field. He was a Senior Vice President with Advanced Energy Economy and has extensive markets experience. He served in a cabinet level position for Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley where he worked to promote affordable, reliable, clean energy, and he also led energy policy for the National Governors Association. Woolf has experience in both the executive branch and Capitol Hill having served at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and as a Congressional committee staff member. Woolf earned his law degree, as well as a Masters of Public Administration and Public Policy, from the University of Virginia. He holds a B.A. magna cum laude from Tufts University, with a year at Pembroke College, Oxford University. Malcolm is the supporting NHA staff member for the CEO Council.

  • Dr. Charles (Chuck) Kutscher is a Fellow and Senior Research Associate of the University of Colorado Boulder Renewable and Sustainable Energy Institute (RASEI). Dr. Kutscher spent 4 decades as a renewable energy researcher and manager at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and was the Director of the Buildings and Thermal Sciences Center when he retired from NREL in July 2018. He is a Past Chair and Fellow of the American Solar Energy Society (ASES) and served as U.S. Representative for the International Energy Agency (IEA) Solar Heating and Cooling Program Task 14, "Advanced Active Solar Energy Systems."

    He is the lead author of the third edition of the college textbook, Principles of Sustainable Energy Systems and is an adjunct professor at the University of Colorado Boulder where he is teaching the course “Sustainable Energy.” Dr. Kutscher has given many presentations on climate change solutions throughout the US and abroad, and he has been involved in several recent climate change projects, including as lead author of the RASEI report, Accelerating the US Clean Energy Transformation (which was summarized in an op-ed in The Hill) and as a contributing author to the 2020 Zero Carbon Action Plan by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network.

    Dr. Kutscher received a B.S. in physics from the State University of New York at Albany, an M.S. in nuclear engineering from the University of Illinois, and a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of Colorado and California.

  • Dr. Ravi Gajendran is Professor and Alvah Chapman Eminent Scholar Endowment Chair in the Global Leadership and Management Department (GLAM) at Florida International University.

    He is also the Department Chair of the Global Leadership and Management Department. He received his PhD in Organizational Behavior from Pennsylvania State University. Before entering the doctoral program at Penn State, he had a career in sales and marketing for over seven years working for multinationals such as Cadbury’s and Procter & Gamble. Prior to joining FIU, Ravi was on the faculty of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he featured on the List of Teachers Ranked as Excellent for every year he taught there. At FIU, he has taught courses on organizational behavior, leadership, and human resource management at PhD, MBA, and undergraduate levels. He has won multiple teaching awards at FIU including Faculty Excellence and Course Excellence Awards.

    His areas of research expertise include remote work, virtual teams, impacts of communication technology, leadership, and human capital development. He is a member of the editorial board of three top-tier journals: Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, and Journal of Management. Dr. Gajendran is the recipient of research awards from the Academy of Management including the Best Student Paper Award (2006) and the DeSanctis Award for Best Paper based on a Dissertation (2012).

    He is a well-recognized expert in the area of remote work and his research has been featured in several public policy documents and prominent media outlets including New York Times, USA Today, Fox Business News, Entrepreneur.com, Inc.com, and Forbes. His research has been cited by the Report to Congress on the Status of Federal Telecommuting Arrangements. In addition to publishing his research in top-tier journals, he has also written articles for managers that have been published in Harvard Business Review and Business Today.

  • Genevieve Cullen has led the Electric Drive Transportation Association, the Washington, DC based cross-industry trade association promoting the electrification of transportation, as President since 2015. She previously served as Vice President, directing the organization’s policy and advocacy efforts.
