Six SEC football teams are ranked in the preseason USA TODAY Sports AFCA coaches poll, while five are ranked in the AP Top 25.
The SEC is top heavy, with No. 1 Alabama, No. 5 Georgia and No. 6 Texas A&M accounting for half of the top six spots in each poll.
And, as usual, the SEC West is expected to be the more powerful division.
