Evan talks with Nashville DIY music photographer Marcus Maddox. Marcus is a fashion and music photographer from Nashville, TN. Expressing emotions through color and composition is Marcus’ intent. Inspired by minimalism and lo-fi music, Marcus strives to create imagery that makes every viewer feel like they are in a dream. Selected Clients & Publications: Nylon Magazine, AWEAR Magazine, Wilder, Goodwin, Elizabeth Suzann, Local Honey, Josh Fano Co. (UK), Congrats Records, Warby Parker, Nashville Scene, Native Magazine. Additionally Marcus has shot high profile bands & artists such as Paramore, Halfnoise, and more.
In 2017 Marcus released his first major photobook Pom Poms. Pom Poms Vol. 1 is a record of the style and emotions of a fleeing music scene. In this collection of photographs, Marcus reveals a dream-like perspective of a significant time. Marcus’ music photography has always been about giving back to the artists that he admired onstage. However, he soon realized his appreciation for the people offstage as well. This is the story of the people of the Nashville DIY music scene.

This week, Evan & Toni talk with Jeff Pearson. Jeff is an accomplished actor and small business owner from Lafayette, Louisiana. Jeff has appeared in over 30 films, television series, and shorts on platforms such as the Syfy channel and Amazon Prime Video. Most recently Jeff portrayed dysfunctional therapist Damon DeLano, the lead role Home Remedy. A new TV series on Amazon Prime. Jeff is also the owner of the sole Play N Trade video games in Lafayette, which he has owned and managed for over ten years. Jeff plans to move to Atlanta, Georgia in January of 2018 to continue the advancement of his acting career.

This week, Evan talks with filmmaker Victoria Negri. Victoria is an award-winning multi-hyphenate filmmaker/actress. Her just released feature directorial debut, Gold Star, which she wrote, directed, produced, and starred in, alongside Oscar nominated actor Robert Vaughn in his last on-screen performance, premiered at the Buffalo International Film Festival October 2016 as the Opening Night film, where it won the Audience Award. It is currently on the festival circuit. Most recently, Victoria won the Lisa Blount Memorial Award for Acting at the Oxford Film Festival. Gold Star was selected by incubator Big Vision Empty Wallet as an Inaugural Kickstart Diversity Film and participated in their prestigious Distribution Lab. Additionally, Victoria has produced and assistant directed numerous short films, music videos and webseries featured at: Cleveland Film Festival, Queens World Festival, NY WebFest, IndieWorks, Nitehawk Shorts Festival and more. She has acted in award-winning features, shorts and webseries featured at: Cinequest Film Festival, Clermont-Ferrand, Tribeca and more.
