  • 2. In Case Of Emergency, Press Play: Worry

“Worry is just prayers for chaos” -Gabby Bernstein

For many of us, worry isn’t an occasional visitor - it can be a full time roommate. One thought becomes another, and before we know it, our minds are spinning through every possible scenario.

This guided meditation invites you to step out of the cycle of worry and into the present moment. Through imagery, breath, and gentle awareness, you’ll practice letting go of what hasn’t happened and returning to what is true right now.

For the moments when your mind won’t stop spinning, press play.

  • 1. In Case Of Emergency, Press Play: Bedtime

    Ah Bedtime...

It’s amazing what your mind can accomplish the moment your head hits the pillow.

All day long, you couldn’t remember why you walked into the kitchen. And now, suddenly at bedtime, your mind remembers an email you forgot to send, a conversation from six years ago, and three things you should probably do tomorrow.

If that sounds familiar, this meditation is for you.

This guided bedtime meditation is an opportunity to slow things down, turn down the volume on the mental chatter, and loosen your grip on the day. You don’t need to solve tomorrow’s problems tonight. You don’t need to replay today’s events one more time.

Instead, draw your attention back to your breath, your body, and this present moment as you prepare for rest.

For the moments when your body is ready for sleep but your mind has scheduled a staff meeting, press play.

Life doesn’t always unfold the way we planned.

This year on How Yoga Changed My Life, we’ve spent a lot of time talking about the moments that change everything—the diagnoses, the losses, the uncertainty, the unexpected turns none of us saw coming.

What we’ve learned is that when life gets hard, coping skills matter. Breath matters. Rest matters. Learning how to come back to yourself matters.

In Case of Emergency, Press Play is a collection of guided meditations, breath work practices, and short moments of pause designed for the days when life feels heavy, overwhelming, or simply too loud.

These aren’t designed to fix you. They’re here to support you.

So whether you’re lying awake at 2 a.m., sitting in your car before walking into something difficult, or simply needing a moment to catch your breath—press play.

Because we didn’t plan for this… but we’re here.

  • 182. Beyond The Clock: A Guided Meditation on Time

Time passes equally for all of us, yet our experience of it can feel vastly different. An hour spent with someone you love can disappear in an instant, while a few minutes of waiting can feel endless.

In this guided meditation, Chris Kennedy invites you to explore the difference between clock time and lived time. Through breath, awareness, and gentle reflection, you’ll be guided away from deadlines, schedules, and urgency—and back to the present moment where life is actually happening.

Whether you’re feeling rushed, stuck, overwhelmed, or simply longing to slow down, this practice offers a chance to step beyond the clock and reconnect with the richness of now.

Take a breath. Let go of the need to keep up. For the next few minutes, there is nowhere else to be.

  • 181. Three Years Later...What Actually Changed?

    What happens after the beginning?

After spending sometime inside our special series, We Didn’t Plan for This, this conversation felt like a return to the roots of what How Yoga Changed My Life has always been about — how practice evolves alongside real life.

Three years after his first appearance on How Yoga Changed My Life, Chris Kennedy returns with a completely different perspective on practice, teaching, creativity, and life.

In Chris’ first interview, the core theme was really about beginning before you feel “ready.” His story centered around discipline, transformation, and consistency. Along the way, he discovered parts of himself through Yoga that extended far beyond the mat.

Chris has intentionally taken classes from more than 100 different Yoga teachers to study not just what teachers teach, but how they teach. What creates connection? What makes a class memorable? What actually makes people feel something?

Chris shares how he lost his father a year ago, and how that loss shifted his relationship with time, work, and joy. This conversation is thoughtful, reflective, and full of reminders that Yoga is often less about perfection — and more about paying attention.

  • 180. The Stages of Grief Happen Before Death

Grief and grieving aren't really the same thing.

The stages of grief happened before death—through fear, anticipation, exhaustion, denial, and watching life change in real time. What came after wasn’t stages. It was grieving.

In this week's episode, Adrienne and Campbell talk about anticipatory grief, surviving the aftermath of loss, and the messy, nonlinear reality of learning to live after someone dies.

  • 179. We Didn't Plan For This...We Have Notes.

This week on We Didn’t Plan For This…We Have Notes.

Recorded while driving home from a road trip, Nora and Adrienne take a break from the heavier conversations to talk about the strange, hilarious, mildly concerning reality of being around other humans.

Sometimes life gets heavy. And sometimes…people are just weird. From reading glasses and emergency charging cables to setting four alarms and preparing for the inevitable zombie apocalypse.

A lighthearted episode about getting older, being overstimulated, becoming aggressively prepared for every situation, and reaching the beautiful phase of life where fewer and fewer f**ks are given.

    Because apparently…They have notes.

  • 178. What Healing Actually Feels Like (Not What You Think)

A conversation with Nora on preparation, strength, recovery, and redefining what better means.

Nora is back—this time in the middle of recovery.Recorded from her bed, sharing a mic and space with her dog, Klaus, this conversation is exactly what it sounds like—unfiltered, real, and happening right in the middle of it.

The last thing she remembers before surgery? Her gurney being run into a wall. And somehow… that’s a pretty accurate entry point into what healing has actually felt like.

Somewhere between Adrienne’s widow brain and Nora still on pain meds… this conversation unfolds the way real ones do—imperfect, a little scattered, and completely honest.

They also talk about the parts no one really prepares you for:

    • What breathing feels like after surgery.
    • Finding strength when your body has limits.
    • What it takes to let people support you when you’re used to being the one to support.

This isn’t a before-and-after story. It’s a conversation about being in the middle of where healing is messy, slow, and not always visible. If you’re going through something—or supporting someone who is—this episode will meet you there.

If this episode resonates, follow the show, share it with someone who might need it… or send us a message.

Because the truth is… we didn’t plan for this—but we’re here.

  • 177. She Had Her Dream Job—Until She Didn’t

Amelie had what many would call a dream job—performing with Cirque du Soleil.

She stepped away to have a baby, fully expecting to return.

But when she did… the job she thought would be waiting for her wasn’t there anymore.

In this episode, we talk about what it feels like to lose something you worked your whole life for… especially when you thought you were only pressing pause.

This isn’t just about performing or losing a role.

It’s about losing something you built your identity around…and figuring out who you are without it.

Amelie didn’t plan for this either.

If you’ve ever had something not be there when you thought it would be… this conversation will resonate.
