In January 2015, Jesi was the passenger on a motorcycle when it collided with a car. She woke up a week later in an intensive care unit without the use of her legs secondary to a spinal cord injury.
Instead of accepting disability as her reality, she rejected the prognosis that she would be wheelchair dependent for the rest of her life. In the face of adversity, she is recovering from her disability and using it as a platform to reach the world. Since the onset of her injury, she has achieved more than she previously dreamed possible.
Over the past several years, she has generated a significant following among both the spinal cord injury and able-bodied community. Her goal is simple: show the world there is an opportunity in their obstacles, restoring hope during life’s difficult moments. She helps people achieve their dreams through the importance of goal setting and showing what’s possible.

As leaders, we often have an idea of how we think things should go. Joe Atang joins us today and reminds us to trust ourselves and take action. This teaches us to be better even when we currently aren’t where we want to be.
Joe Atang says he is literally your "average joe" who has an incredible passion for people and branding. He is from Houston, Tx (born and raised) but currently living in the Indianapolis IN area. He is the Father of 2 Beautiful Children (Twins: Boy & Girl - Jude + Josslyn) and his partner is Courtney (Whom many of the gang knows).
His family is from West Africa - Cameroon to be exact. Thanks to the Houston Rockets winning back to back championships, he fell in love with basketball and was fortunate to accomplish his goal/dream of playing all four years of collegiate basketball.
He thought it would be cool to play basketball overseas, but realized it's cooler to join his mom in business. She is a cosmetologist in the beauty industry and started her salon company in 2009. He graduated from university with a bachelor's degree in business/marketing (thanks to his dad), and immediately began working full-time at Innovative Looks Hair Salon. Since 2011 He has been on a mission to figure out how major companies branded/marketed themselves.
Thanks to Garyvee, he was able to get a better education than he did in university on how to practically brand. In short, because of his influence, he stumbled across tik tok and has built an audience of over 60k friends. His mission at this point of his career is to leverage his platform to bring awareness to the multiple brands he will be promoting, including innovative looks. His ultimate goal in life outside of just being happy and enjoying life is to become best friends with Garyvee.

As leaders, we thrive on knowing we’ve helped one person. Virginia encourages us to use an image of that one person to motivate ourselves to put our stories into the world. When we do, we’ll see how many people have been in a similar situation.

It’s easy to be ignored in the middle of all the noise in the world today, but as leaders we have to fight through that noise to help others. Rich Cardona joins us today and reminds us why it’s okay for things to get harder when we’re on the path we want to pursue.
Rich Cardona is a first generation American and retired Marine Corps attack helicopter pilot.
After getting a Masters in Business Administration out of fear he wouldn’t be marketable, he ventured into the traditional workplace and landed a job with Amazon. While he admits the company is the tip of the spear, his experience in fulfillment was extremely ... unfulfilling.
He left, moved into his in-laws basement and searched for which of his curiosities could potentially lead to a business of his own. After spending time with and documenting Claude Silver, Vayner Media’s Chief Heart Officer, he realized that there was a need for executives like her to become more visible.
Rich Cardona Media was born. Rich’s team helps executives and entrepreneurs become more visible by using video to create long term content and social media strategies. On average they increase visibility and engagement by the thousands in 90 days or less.
As part of his service after service Rich has also created a video series and podcast called The Leadership Locker where influencers and industry leaders share their expertise with transitioning service members and veteran entrepreneurs.
Guest have included: Gary Vaynerchuk, Kindra Hall, and Jason Feifer

As leaders, we have the opportunity to really see people who are often overlooked or misunderstood. Adam Lucio joins us and to teach practical ways to include others rather than simply going along with assumptions we have about them.
At the fragile age of five months old, Adam and his family were in a car accident resulting in him being confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. However, "confined" is the last thing you'd call his drive for success.
He's reached many milestone accomplishments from being the first wheelchair athlete to compete in Jr. High and High School varsity sports in his hometown, to being recruited to play D1 Wheelchair Basketball for Oklahoma State University.
Today, he’s a Life & Mindset Coach, Motivational Speaker and a tennis coach at Odessa College, making him one of the only two wheelchair coaching professionals in Texas. Along with basketball and tennis, Adam is an avid 5K and 10K road racer and aspires to one day complete a full Iron Man Triathlon.
Adam is dedicated to instilling disability inclusion and the importance of hard work to everyone he meets and willingly takes on the challenge of being the trailblazer of adaptive athletics in his community.

As content creators, it’s easy to get discouraged when something doesn’t work. We can even be disheartened when we have a success that still isn’t enough to carry us long-term. We have to keep going. Jenn and Chase Pickett (Salty Mermaid Entertainment) join us today to give us ideas for being consistent in sharing content even when we don’t feel inspired.
Jenn and Chase are a comedy duo and entertainment team. They primarily produce comedy sketches and funny videos, as well as occasional vlog- style updates pertaining to their family and personal lives.
It's more than just entertainment for them, though. They thrive on being authentic and real with all of you, and sometimes that means skipping the comedy sketches and telling you about their current heartbreaks or triumphs.
