In this episode, I share a story with you of something that just happened to me and my thought process on how to respond and move forward.

There are many fears that keep us from pursuing our own curiosity and desires. A huge reason why I started this podcast was that I saw many people afraid to simply do what they wanted to do because of fear, self-doubt, and insecurity.
Our guest this week Claudia Nigrelli lost all of her sight by the age of twenty-four. She is on a mission to share her story with others and inspire them to pursue their own dreams (even if they have to do it afraid). Claudia has an incredible story that I know will inspire you to take more chances, eliminate your excuses, and take full advantage of the beautiful life we were given.

Building “something” sounds glamorous. Leading a team, starting a business, writing a book, it all seems exciting (and it is) but it is allllooottttt of work. It’s work that most people don’t see. How do you walk through tons of work, without a lot of affirmation along the way, without losing steam and giving up?
This week I have a super real conversation with you about sticking in when you want to give up.

This week we are taking a timeout. Why? Well, our guest Rachael O’Meara believes that a “pause” in our normal routine is a lost art that we desperately need.
Rachael has worked for Google for several years and had a life-changing experience when she decided to take a three-month unpaid leave from the company. She used this time to rediscover herself and connect with the core of who she was.
She now teaches others to shift their behavior and become more self-aware. Her book, Pause Harnessing the Life-Changing Power of Giving Yourself a Break helps others practice the state of “simply being” and being more in tune with who they are.
This is a powerful episode for those who struggle with slowing down (Heather is raising her hand now), being in the moment, and tuning in with what your heart is saying. I encourage you to connect with Rachael O’Meara on her website and check out her book on Amazon.

What does persuasion have to do with impact and leadership? On this episode, Jeff Tippet joins us to answer that question. He is a speaker, author, and entrepreneur, and founder of the award-winning public affairs & communications firm “Targeted Persuasion”.
Jeff’s corner-stone story is about adopting his youngest daughter from Haiti. This experience led him to revelations about persuasion and how to use it for your own gain without ever taking advantage of others. He shares those lessons with us to help us achieve our goals by persuading, but more importantly, by helping other people.
