    Ever wonder about how someone writes a murder mystery? Local author Chris Keefer talks about her new novel "No Comfort for the Undertaker" (2022) set in 1900, plus her process of developing the book and its characters. She notes the importance of having "sensitivity readers" review how characters from different backgrounds are portrayed -- in this case, an African American man being presented by a white woman. She also describes the importance of getting feedback and support from regular meetings with other authors. The second book in the series, "Tragedy's Twin," will be released in October 2023.
