    On this special Easter edition of Huell's Gold, our main man Huell Howser is taking us to a number of places that are "First's" in California. First were seeing the first citrus tree that started the entire Orange industry, then on to our "first" gold rush...well sorta, it's complicated.     This week Huell is headed up north to a little known spot in the wooded forest lands of California. McCloud is an old lumber town that was a true, honest to goodness, company town. A town owned entirely by the McCloud River Lumber Company. The history of this place seemed to really touch at Huell's sensibility as he found his way up there numerous times after this episode.     This week on the show were headed to the big house. Folsom State Prison to be exact. Huell Howser is taking us inside a place that few get to see and even fewer would want to experience first hand.     This week on the show we get back into the swing of train freekdom. Huell is gettin' real wild and starting the show in NEVADA!!! Sparks, NV to be exact, to jump on the California Zephyr, a piece of California train legend. This line ran from San Francisco to Chicago from 1949-1970 and featured the vista-dome, a rare train car that allowed to you "Look up, Look down, Look ALL-Around!" It's fun to see Huell on the rail and this show is ridin the GOLD train all the way home.

    Well, we're back!! Chris and Allan were trying to make this episode happen last week with our guest and we needed extra time to make it all happen. This week, Huell takes us to Taft, CA to visit some real deal Oil History. Our guest, Andrew, has worked in the industry for over a decade and provides tons of cool context to the episode this week. First we go to the West Kern Oil Museum in Taft to learn about oil production history. Then, Andrew really pays off when Huell visits current drilling companies doing what oil field workers do, GET OIL!!
