After stepping onto the mat in 2004, Emily Rose (@emilyrose_yoga) has been no stranger to the mentally, physically, and spiritually healing powers of yoga. Emily Rose has shared her love of teaching yoga internationally in China, France, Senegal, and Italy. She is thrilled to be back in the Minnesota Yoga community and is ready to share intuitive and fun classes with her students. When not climbing or with her nose in a book, Emily Rose loves going to coffee shops and doing theatre around the twin cities. Marissa Sotos has been pastor/mission developer for Tree of Life since June of 2016. She loves the energy and creativity of Minneapolis and getting to be part of this new little community called Tree of Life. Marissa holds a Bachelor of Music in Harp Performance from St. Olaf College and a Master of Divinity from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, but originally came from Monrovia, CA where she grew up in a fundamentalist sect. After half a decade of atheism and flirting with Buddhism, she fell in love with the Lutheran church's focus on grace, care for neighbor, constant reformation and embrace of paradox. She and her wife Maggie enjoy reading, camping, crosswords and hanging out with their goofy German Shepherd Abe.
