Ok, so on Huey: Off the Record we like to feature new talent and my guest this week is no exception, he’s an up and coming comedian, actor, writer and producer, some of you mighta already heard of him…. It’s the one and only Ricky Gervais
But seriously, it’s an honour to have Ricky back on the show. We talk about his most recent tour, Humanity and Ricky tells how he got his start in comedy and acting in his mid thirties…
We get deep talkin about privilege and equality and we keep it light talking about the ailments we don’t really have, but we’re afraid we might…
Enjoy!

My guest this week is a man who has almost certainly moved your feet and made you feel the beat in a club. It’s legendary house music DJ, producer and label boss Ashley Beedle.
Ashley was one of the early adopters back in the late 80’s heyday of acid house and the man is still droppin tracks like they hot today…
We have a very cool conversation that goes all over the music map, including why country music is so big in Jamaica… Check it out yo!

Yo Whassup my peoples!
So we’re switchin it up again at Huey: Off The Record… You know I like to keep you on your toes!
We’re going from all that talk about #MeToo last week with King to some surreal parallel universe shit with the Derek Smalls from Spinal Tap
You may also know them from the cult rockumentary This is Spinal Tap
Anyway, we get to talkin about Derek’s re-entry into the music biz with his upcoming debut solo album Smalls Change (Meditations on Ageing), his Dad’s phone sanitization business and how you can never go back to a 4 string bass when you’ve had a 5 stringed bass…

Ok, so because we don’t shy away from controversy here on the pod me and my good buddy King, are diving into the deep end of #MeToo and all the sexual shenanigans that have been poppin off – in real life – and in the media recently.
This is the first of a two part episode that we recorded when I was NYC just before Christmas 2017 – so that explains some of the timings of what we talk about. And it’s an evolving discussion. I encourage you to listen all the way through because our viewpoints develop as we talk – that’s the whole point y’know – it’s a conversation. My very special guest today is a former Sergeant with the Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment who led his men into close quarters combat with Iraqi insurgents back in 2004.
It was the first time since the Falklands War that British soldiers had fixed bayonets before going into combat - in what became known as the "Battle of Danny Boy”
You may have heard about this in the news earlier this year – as if the trauma of the battle itself wasn’t enough, a so-called human rights lawyer named Phil Shiner took it upon himself to falsify claims about the details of this battle and bring bogus suits against members of an incredibly brave company
Thankfully this charlatan was finally exposed, but sadly the damage had already been done.
So without further ado, I give you Brian Wood, inspiration, hero and recipient of the Military Cross – telling the story of the Battle of Danny Boy in his own words…

My guest today is the Chief Executive of a very important charity called Hope and Homes for Children - that I discovered one day when one of their representatives made it onto my land and captured my attention for minute, which isn’t easy or safe…
And before you know it they have me, Kenny English and T-Bone roped into doing a triathlon and raising money for them!
Hope and Homes for Children, work tirelessly to take children out of orphanages and place them in loving homes where they can thrive and right now you can support them through their End the Silence campaign.
Go to endthesilence.com where you'll find an interactive music memory time capsule which allows you pick your most precious childhood song, donate, and then share it on social media along with the memory it evokes.
By joining the world’s top musicians in sharing your most precious childhood musical memory, you can help to end the silent suffering of neglected children in orphanages.
Hope and Homes for Children's End the Silence campaign aims raise £1.5m by Christmas to save eight million children suffering silently in shocking overseas orphanages.
And the great thing is that every pound donated to the campaign before the 27th December will be doubled by the UK Government - so do your thing my good people!
Now tune into this enlightening conversation with a very special guy - Mark Waddington - Chief Exec of Hope and Homes for Children...
