In this months October’s movie review, Justin and I discuss our favorite Halloween movies! We start off the episode discussing the history of Halloween, the inflation of candy prices, our biggest fears in life, AI technology, and tell our own scary stories! We discuss movies from the classic Alfred Hitchcock Psycho, Arsenic and Old Lace, The Village, Weapons, Insidious, The Shining, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Get Out, Nope,Us, As Above so below, and Coraline! We end talking about the scariest scenes in movies to include The Passion of the Christ and To Kill a Mockingbird. We then discuss myths to include the existence of aliens, and if lochness monster was real or an anatomy part!

In this months current event segment, Mr.J and I start off talking about illegal tattooing in SC, the upcoming primary election in November, the controversial Lindsay Clancy verdict, expensive Lamborghini’s, the top five states to live in America, Trumps trade war with Canada, the death of Lindsay Graham and Dolly Parton, and Tuskegee University’s new dress code! We end with Mr.J answering a rapid fire questions on the war in Iran, the economy, and the heated rivalry between republicans and democrats.

In this month’s movie review, Justin and I discuss the iconic 1969 classic True Grit, and compare it to the 2010 remake! We discuss who played the notorious Rooster Cogburn role better, John Wayne or Jeff Bridges? The original movies background story, vs some new added story lines in the new version, the simplistic story line that makes it a memorable movie, and John Wayne’s academy award! We also review some well known bourbons, Jack Daniels and Evan Williams. Enjoy!

In this episode Laura and I discuss our trip across Route 66! This year marks the 100 year centennial for Americas mother road. We start on the west coast in California, working our way back across all 8 states to Illinois. We discuss some of the attractions in every state, along with some sights off the course that make the trip even more worthwhile! Some of the attractions we discuss include the Grand Canyon, the Santa Monica Pier, Monument Valley, Big Sur, and Los Angeles! In this months movie review, Justin and I discuss the 2013 movie Prisoners. Some movies deal with conflict of man vs. nature, man vs.beast, and man vs man. This movie highlights the conflicts of man vs. himself! This movie thriller makes you question your moral compass in the situation of risk of jail time for the safety of your family, or let the judicial system run its course. Hugh Hackman delivers a powerful performance and faces these difficult decisions when his daughter and another girl are kidnapped from a neighborhood. In this month’s movie review, Justin and I discuss the 1962 John Wayne film Hatari. This movie follows a diverse comical crew, as they fill orders for zoos across the world, catching animals in the plains of Africa! This movie was one of the top 10 movies of the year at that time, which during filming all cast did their own stunts! This movie also gives us another look at John Wayne from his typical cowboy role. The movie also contains a well known musical number from Henry Mancini called the Baby Elephant Walk.

In this months movie review Justin and I discuss the 2014 thriller, Whiplash! The movie stars an all star cast including Miles Teller and J.K. Simmons. The movie follows music student Andrew Neiman, as he follows his goal to become a world known jazz drummer. As he embarks on his passion for fame, he encounters the mysterious music director, Fletcher. What starts out as a casual practice, turns into a traumatic, life altering contest of who had what it takes! Can Andrew keep up with Fletcher’s tempo?

In this episode we discuss the second SC governors race debate, Trumps strategic handling of the war with Iran, the rising gas prices across the country, Pam Bondi being let go, and Trumps presidential ratings. We also discuss catchy headlines, and teachers in the education system identifying as Wolves and furries!
