Job listings that include words and phrases like “get your hands dirty” and “driven” are more likely to attract male applicants, according to data analysis done by a machine-learning startup called Textio.

On Dec. 13, an employee at Waymo, a self-driving startup founded by Google, was accidentally copied on an email from one of its vendors. Where was the email supposed to go? Why, to Uber ― or, more specifically, to Uber’s newly acquired startup Otto. Included in the email were schematics for a circuit board, one that looked remarkably similar to a board designed at considerable expense by Waymo.

Hackers gained access to many high-profile Twitter accounts on Wednesday and posted tweets in support of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Amnesty International, BBC North America, Duke University, Forbes, PBS Food, U-Haul and UNICEF USA were among the verified accounts affected by the hack. The cyberattack appeared to involve accessing the accounts and posting swastikas, comments in support of Erdogan and the hashtags#Nazialmanya(Nazi Germany) and #Nazihollanda (Nazi Holland).

A toddler was killed over the weekend in a raging Pennsylvania house fire that officials said was sparked by a hoverboard plugged into an electrical outlet for recharging. If investigators confirm the cause of the Friday night blaze, it would be the first fatality in the U.S. linked to a hoverboard battery problem that has been blamed for scores of fires — including major house fires — since 2015, reported NBC.

Hackers are now reportedly targeting Democratic lawmakers and progressive organizations in the U.S. in an attempt to shake them down for hush money. At least 12 progressive organizations have been targeted by Russian hackers who seek out embarrassing information on emails or secret details that could be used to hurt the organizations, Bloomberg has been told by two sources familiar with probes by private security companies and the FBI.

The Mountain View, California, private school parlayed a $15,000 Snapchat investment it made years ago into more than $20 million after the social-sharing company went public in a big way on Thursday, CBS in San Francisco reported.

Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer will lose her bonus and equity grants this year because of her handling of a 2014 hacking incident that may have compromised 500 million user accounts. Mayer wrote in a Tumblr post on Wednesday that she would give up the compensation because the security breach occurred on her watch.
