What can happen when you honor your commitments to yourself? A TON of growth! Sure, I’m all about “floating more.” But there needs to be an oversight by “Highest Self” over our “Immediate Desires” self. The way we do this is through commitments, and accountability. I took a “Burning Man Cultural Attaché” 5 day course at Esalen in Big Sur. The Experience was awesome. I share a few of the things I learned. (At least…as I remember hearing them.)

On this Veterans’ Day I am thinking about the California fires, and my appreciation for our military. But also proposing that it is okay to support troops and be critical of wars.  I also explain why I am giving fewer hugs nowadays.

You’ve heard the phrase, “If you aren’t outraged, you aren’t paying attention.” But the opposite is also true. There are a billion reasons to be awe-struck and inspired.

It is hard to face criticism, but it is important to be open to ways you can improve. There is nothing more loving than criticism delivered with tact and care.
