  • On Objectification - A wondering eye is not virtuous so let’s be mindful of the male gaze.

"Take a picture it will last longer." Hugo heard that once a long time ago and it caused him to rethink the way that he literally views men and women out in the world. On this Episode Hugo discusses how he has objectified others and how he's been objectified over the years.

    Today on the Show:

Objectification according to Wikipedia - " In social philosophy, objectification is the act of treating a person, or sometimes an animal,[1] as an object or a thing. It is part of dehumanization, the act of disavowing the humanity of others. Sexual objectification, the act of treating a person as a mere object of sexual desire, is a subset of objectification, as is self-objectification, the objectification of one's self."

Fun Fact...the name of the song is "Baby Got Back" not "I like big butts" - https://youtu.be/_JphDdGV2TU

    Today on the Show:
From A Tale of Two Cities: "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way – in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only."
