What happens when life changes your body…
Before you’ve even had the chance to discover who you are?
What happens when cancer becomes part of your childhood…
When disability reshapes your future…
When trauma teaches you to survive—but not necessarily how to live?
In this episode of Human Enough, I sit down with Cheyenne Heflin, motivational speaker, cancer survivor, above-knee amputee, counseling trainee, and mental health advocate.
Cheyenne’s life has been shaped by childhood cancer, chronic illness, disability, and countless unexpected challenges. Yet instead of allowing those experiences to define her, she’s chosen to build a life rooted in resilience, humor, purpose, and compassion. Today, she combines her lived experience with her counseling education to help others discover that healing isn’t about pretending life isn’t hard—it’s about learning to live fully despite it.
Together, we explore trauma, identity, disability, body image, resilience, mental health, humor, and what it truly means to live beyond survival.
