Seeing our shortcomings, suffering, isolation, is presented as a key to Seeing the Great wonder of God's Love and Grace in our lives.  It opens our understanding of our need of Him and His immeasurable Goodness to rescue us from ourselves and the stain of our broken condition.  Understanding the gift of light through its contrast with darkness.

This episode looks at the deepest questions of life, summed up by, "What's the Point?"  Listeners are challenged to listen the whole thing with a fair hearing, serious consideration, an open mind, and an open heart.  Hear the answers given without deciding ahead of time or relying on your existing ideas or thinking.  Maybe you will agree, maybe not.  Maybe "sort of."  Dig in and listen and see what happens.

This message was preached at Bethesda Mission on February 1, 2022 at 10 a.m. Chapel Service.  In part 1 we examine one mistaken tendency in Christian living which is to be hyper conscious of sin, worrying that we might sin and focusing on our ability to sin, rather than the finished work of the cross of Jesus Christ.  Towards the end of this message begins the topic of Part 2, which Part 2 which will expand on more fully.

This episode is a "re-do" of sorts in itself in that it covers what should have been covered in Episode 1.  It defines a Humble Beginning to introduce listeners to the central theme of the podcast and lays the foundation for exploration in future episodes of the Christian life and path of Christian transformation.  The perils of pride-led living are contrasted with humbly beginning on a new course aligned with God.  The nature of and need for these spiritual course corrections on our journey are covered as well as their tendency to present themselves often.
