Growing his boutique hotel business to 52 locations, Chip Conley sold his Joie de Vivre hotels (now JDV) to Hyatt Hotels, but that was the end of it all. The experience should have had the entrepreneur retired, but instead he jumped into a young startup called AirBnB where he discovered the paradox and nuances of multi generational work forces.
After writing his pivotal book, Wisdom at Work , Chip created the midlife wisdom school, MEA, in Baja, Mexico to assist people in the navigation of life’s transitions.
His new book, Learning to Love Midlife, will be out in February.
