Blessings TRUTHseekers, we are back with part seven of Knowing Your Identity. In this episode we will look into the lives of 3 powerful women... Naomi, Ruth and Oprah and the HISTORY that led up to these women being mentioned in the Bible. What did their Identity look like? How are they a part of Jesus' story? The story of Ruth takes place during the time of the judges, after they entered Canaan but before they received their first king they cried out for. So we are looking at God's timeline which is always forward moving... Past--Present--Future telling the story of Jesus'. We started the journey in Genesis (the Beginning) with the Patriarchs... Abraham, Isaac and Jacob leading the people by God's hand. Then we move into 2 prophets... Moses and Joshua leading the people by God's hand. Next are 12 Judges who are appointed by God to guide the people out of destruction because they continued to walk in circles (cycles)... doing the same thing over and over and over again. God wants us to continue to walk in a straight line moving forward to finish the race that has been set before us. As Judges closes in chapter 21:25, it says "In those days (when the judges governed) there was no king in Israel; every man did what was right in his own eyes. Today, those words ring true... that people do what they believe is right in their own eyes and not what God's word says is TRUTH! Examine your life... are you following after God's plan or your own? As we continue forward on this journey... Namoi, Ruth and Orpah are coming on the scene in Ruth chapter 1. Let's explore the text and see who these women are and how their Identity shaped the choices they made.

Blessings TRUTHseekers, we are back with part six of Knowing Your Identity. In this episode we will finish up the book of Job listening to how God responded to Job and his three friends. Imagine God listening to everything everyone had to say and now it's His turn to speak the TRUTH concerning Job's suffering. God is about to address everyone who opened their mouth and brought His name into the conversation without inquiring of Him. Assumptions and our own knowledge of interpreting a matter can cause the wrath of God to burn against us. What is God hearing in your day to day conversations? Is He pleased with your choice of words or does His anger burn against you? We must take into consideration that God's divine plan can include suffering and pain. Isn't that what He allowed for His own begotten Son Jesus? Did He not suffer the cross yet He too was Innocent? Let us examine our own lives before the Lord on today to ensure we are in right standing with the Lord and that our life, like Job's, will bring God glory!!!

We can learn a lot about how powerful our words and our response to situations and circumstances matter to God. Giving our opinions can be very dangerous if it leads others to doubt God or question God. God is looking and listening to ALL conversations and He will address All parties involved to bring forth The TRUTH, The Whole TRUTH, and Nothing But The THRUTH!!! Your response matters to God!

After Job lost everything, his 3 friends (Eliphaz, Bildad & Zophar) came to visit him because they heard how much Job had been suffering and wanted to comfort him. When they finally laid eyes on Job, they could hardly recognize him and begin to weep and wail, tearing their clothes in grief and throwing dust into the air and on their heads. For seven days and nights, they sat on the ground with Job without saying a word because they saw how much he was suffering. What was their response to Job's devastating circumstance? Did they help console Job or did they add to his grief and suffering? Did any of his friends consult God before speaking? We can learn a lot about how powerful our words and our response to situations and circumstances matter to God. Blessings TRUTHseekers, we are back with part four of Knowing Your Identity. In this episode we will look at the life of Rahab, a woman searching for The TRUTH. Rahab was a prostitute in the city of Jericho. Her heart longed to know the God of Israel because of all she heard about the victories Israel won and the fear it left in those who came against them. The God who sees ALL saw Rahab's heart and made a way of escape for her and her family. It was her appointed time to meet the God of Israel and she took full advantage of it by protecting the 2 spies sent by Joshua to spy out the land of Jericho before Israel destroyed it. In return of helping them escape, they promised to get her and her family out of the city before they destroyed it. God kept His promise and Rahab went on to marry an Israelite and become the mother of Boaz who would marry Ruth and forge the lineage of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. So you see, Rahab found her identity in Christ and God rewarded her FAITH!!!

God said to Jeremiah... “Before I formed you in your mother's womb, I knew you [and approved of you as My chosen instrument], And before you were born I consecrated you [to Myself as My own]; I have appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Wow... Jeremiah found out in one conversation with God, who he was, whom he belonged to and his purpose/assignment in life. The same God that told Jeremiah his identity before he did any work for God is the same God that will speak to you concerning your identity! You will be tested by God before he sends you out to make sure you have heard, listened, seen and understood what He spoke to you. Expect God to do something tangible in your life. Remember... knowing your identity will shape the way you experience the world and handle the attacks of the enemy! There is a Supernatural Exchange that is about to happen in your life as you seek God with your whole heart. He is waiting to hear from you. Are you listening and seeing well based on what God has said?

Love plays a big role in knowing your identity. Why? Because Love is ETERNAL! Let's look at some scriptures on Love and evaluate our Love walk to see if we will be able to answer the following question... Did you Love well based on God's standard of Love?

Blessings TRUTHseekers, we are beginning a new series called Knowing Your Identity. In this series we will be tackling questions like "Who am I? What defines Me? How does knowing God change Me?" and much more. We will be diving into the life of Adam & Eve and Job & his wife to see how each one of them dealt with identity issues. Whose voice did they listen to... God or Satan? What was their response? What was the consequence they endured for their actions? Have you ever dealt with identity issues? Whose voice is shaping your identity? Your identity will shape the way you experience the world!

Let's Talk About It... Your truth... My truth... THE TRUTH!

In this last episode on Healing The Wounded Soul, we will finish strong as we look at how Jesus paid the price for our healing in Isaiah 53... for He was wounded for OUR transgressions... a picture of the Suffering Servant. Because He paid it All, we must learn how to REPENT & RELEASE Everything to Him in this supernatural Great Exchange! We finished up in Psalms 23 being reassured that He is our Shepherd that will feed, guide and shield us through life journeys. We are believing and coming into agreement with you on today that every soul wound you have encountered or will ever encounter has been completely healed and made whole in Jesus name!

Remember these 3 Steps to Spiritual Healing:

1. Cleanse the wound (1 John 1:9)AMP

If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose]. (Pray ALWAYS; Purge ALL bitterness, strife, unforgiveness, hurt, anger, guilt, resentfulness and self-pity)

2. Protect the wound (Psalm 147:3)AMP

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds [healing their pain and comforting their sorrow].

***Guard the Healing Process***

(Romans12:2)

Do not allow this world to mold you in its own image. Instead, be transformed from the inside out by renewing your mind. As a result, you will be able to discern what God wills and whatever God finds good, pleasing, and complete. (Do not dwell in the hurt; believe in the healing...Focus on the the things of God!)

3. Monitor the wound (1 Peter 5:8)VOICE

Most importantly, be disciplined and stay on guard(Be Alert). Your enemy the devil is prowling around outside like a roaring lion, just waiting and hoping for the chance to devour someone.

(Don't run the risk of INFECTION! Infection can occur if you constantly dwell on past hurts which will bring doubt of God's healing)

CAUTION: You can't self medicate yourself when there is a Soul Wound. You MUST make an appointment to see the Great Physician-JESUS!

Let's Talk About It... Your truth... My truth... THE TRUTH!

In this episode, we continue searching the scriptures on the wounded soul... breaking down the components of the soul which is your mind(thoughts), your will(actions) and your emotions(feelings). Remember what we defined as a Soul Wound-- it is an emotional hurt that has not been addressed where the part of the mind that has been infected desperately needs healing. Every wound opens up the door for the enemy to bring a spiritual attack! We will also look at some ways to keep you free from soul wounds. In the book of Acts 14:1-7, you will see how easy it is to come into agreement with someone who has a wounded soul and what that does to your soul. In Galatians 5:16-25 you will learn how to walk by the Spirit and not by the flesh and the outcome both produce. Allow Jesus to search you, wash you and cleanse you from your sin and watch Him create in you a clean heart and renew a right and steadfast spirit within you found in Psalm 51. Be Healed & made Whole on today!

How did Jesus heal soul wounds? In this episode, we continue where we left off with examples from scripture of how Jesus healed the soul wounds of the man living in the tombs and the man at the pool of Bethesda. What caused these men to be in this condition? (generational curses, disobedience, SIN, coming together into wrong agreements, innocence) Our highlighted scriptures take us to Luke 8: 27-39 where the demoniac was cured of being tortured mentally and brought back to his right mind; and John 5:5-9, 14 where the man at the pool of Bethesda was healed of his illness/injury. I am going to ask you the same question Jesus asked... "Do you want to be made well on today?" If your answer is YES, accept and believe His healing power is flowing through this podcast washing clean every wounded soul... for you have been Restored and completely made whole on today!!!
