Yup.. ya'll have been doing some dumb stuff out there. So yes, it's time for a safety meeting. No, not the fun kind out behind the truck with some shine or a weird smelling cigarette. But a good 'ol workplace-like talking to!
But seriously: There have been some local accidents that could have been avoided with a little preparation. This will probably be my least listened to show. However, I had to make it. I'll cover some safety tips from deer season prep all the way to putting your deer in the freezer. I'll Even share a few horror stories along the way.
I’m back! After a little hiatus, we’ll be talking about my plans for this spring, the Bottom Dollar Outdoors YouTube channel, and telling some turkey hunting stories! In the Outhouse segment I’ll give my take and piss some of y’all off on the topic of Gun vs Bow hunting. It’s just how I take it when some drunk guy claims he’s the more “ethical” hunter and I suck be cause he hunts with a bow, and I hunt with a gun. Enjoy!

First off: I am sorry for how I sound in this show. I should have not recorded after a fourteen hour night shift. But, I did and here is the result.
Secondly: I hope you enjoy laughing at my stammering and tired voice.
This week's show starts off discussing H.R. 8828 "The Public Safety and Wildlife Protection Act" the bill can be found here. Next, I give you the very bare-bones basics on how to trap and prepare raccoons the easy way. The "Raccoon Trapping Hack" video can be watched here. (Please Like and Subscribe if you like that video and want to see more). Then the discussion will move on to bait tanks and how to turn them into aquaponic systems. Again, sorry for the rambling and almost incoherent mumbles. I hope you come back next week for a much better show! In this week's episode I have great conversation with Certified Wildlife Biologist and Furbearer & Alligator Program Coordinator for South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, Jay Butfiloski.
We don't really get into a "how to" or a "why is trapping good/bad" discussion. We dive into some other topics concerning dealing with the public, feral animals, public lands, and many other topics that new trappers and seasoned ones alike can learn from.

This week my friend and local realtor Rivers Whitmire joins me in studio. We are discussing the process of how to buy raw land to fit your needs. We also ramble on about local lakes, being aware of weather while fishing, some BBQ tips, and just a lot of foolishness. I hope you all enjoy!

Hey everyone! Sorry for the long wait for a new show. In this episode I will give you a product review of the Moultrie XA-6000 cellular trail camera. I am also sharing my advice that I gave an aspiring new hunter for his first deer season. Finally, I will tell you the story of the first buck I ever got a chance to pull the trigger on and how it has affected me as a hunter ever since. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
If you are lucky enough to remember the sound of a Bobwhite cock making his mating call, it may just be a nostalgic memory these days. However there is good news for you! Bobwhites are starting to make a comeback thanks to the hard work of a few good folks. Today we will talk with one of those people. In this weeks show, we will be talking with Michael Hook, the Small Game Project Coordinator of South Carolina Department of Natural Resources and the National Bobwhite Quail Initiative. We will cover many topics covering the declines in population, their work to bring back the numbers, and what you can do to help. Michael is incredibly knowledgeable in the topic and was great guest. Enjoy the show.
