Hustle Hour Presents: 9-5, how do you make a living?
Welcome to our 2021 pilot episode for Hustle Hour powered by JCI Manchester. This year we will take a look at how organisations tick, not through speaking to the people at the top but by speaking to their employees.
On this episode we have JCI Manchester Deputy President Dr Phil Carvil. Phil is head of the northwest HealthTech cluster and co-lead on the northwest SpaceTech cluster for the Science and Technology Facilities Council. https://www.stfc.ukri.org/
We cover how you test a space suite on Earth, Phil's love of Starbucks, a Eurovision spin class and even find some time to speak about his 9-5.

2020 Hustle Hour brings you stories of businesses doing things differently. Whether they are social enterprises looking to change the world or businesses in the private sector looking for new ways to contribute to their field.
This episode brings you a panel discussion in honour of Black History Month, to keep the conversation going on the battle against racism.
Panel members include JCI Manchester 2020 President Rachael Shah, Swiscot Group CEO Vikas Shah MBE, JCI Director Josh Carr and your host Mara Rastall. During the discussion, they go through four terms that have more and more frequently popped up in the media and how their understanding of those term definitions have changed since the global events that have occurred in the wake of George Floyd. The discussion looks to breakdown stigma around having anti-racism discussions and hopes to encourage others to keep the conversation going.
