Unless you’ve been under a rock, you know that we began 2021 with one of the most shocking moments in US history, when a group of Trump supporters basically stormed Capitol Hill in disguise of peaceful demonstration, but broke into the White House.
Concurrently, Uganda, which is my country of origin, has been in going through a presidential election process and as in the past, there has been a lot of violence, usually toward the parties opposing the incumbent.
In this episode, I share with you a conversation I very recently had with John Julius Muwulya, who like me is an immigrant from Uganda. Julius, a Civil and Environmental Engineer, is currently based in Auburn, Washington.
During our conversation he shared a bit about his “Hybrid Story” and immigrant experience and I also definitely benefited from learning about his perspective on social issues and how he is getting along during this time. I hope that you will enjoy the episode.
