HYLT Radio

Hey there hi there ho there Cloud City Casters! We had our good friend Tim Paige from Getting Into Comics join us for this episode, and it was a nice long discussion about everything that came out of NYCC this weekend. Tons of Netflix news, as well as a new Spider-Man animated series coming next year, and some casting announcements for Defenders and Black Panther.

We finished it up talking about Luke Cage and what we thought of the latest installment in the Defender series, so if you haven't watched the whole season yet, listen to our Fire When Ready at your own risk.

Since The DiCosimo's will be in Disney for the week, we decided to make this episode an extra long one to tide you over until next week. Hopefully you guys all stay safe out there and we'll catch you next week with tons of exciting news straight out of Disneyland. Until then, try to make the world a better place!

Welcome back Cast Members, to another episode of WALT WEDNESDAY here at Cloud City Cast!

We had our good friends from Animation Station Podcast, Josh Cain and Gavin Otteson on the show today to talk about Disney live action films verses their animated counterparts. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll kiss an hour and a half goodbye! (kudos to anyone that can name what that’s from).

It wouldn’t be complete without doing a Fire When Ready, which Josh was giddy for since we forgot to do one the last time he was on the show, and this one didn’t disappoint. Always a good time with our Midwest friends, we can’t wait to have them back on the show!

Welcome back Agents of Cast, to another episode of MARVEL MONDAY here at Cloud City Cast!

It’s been busy busy busy here at the DiCosimo household as we try to balance being parents, coaches, podcasters, comic collectors, Netflix enjoyers, and Halloween enthusiasts all in this Spooktacular Monstober!

Luke Cage is finally here, and he’s so tough he crashed Netflix (for a few hours). We also talk shop on Agents of SHIELD and how awesome Robbie Reyes is, and who the new director might be! Finally we finish the episode off with a nice discussion on how important these smaller arcs are in the overall plan of the MCU.

We saved our shout outs for the end, as always, and this time we put the spotlight on Adam Grason @adamgrason on instagram, who is an amazing artist that also creates phenomenal Disney inspired pins. Be sure to check him out and let him know you found him thru your friends at C3!

Welcome back Castaholics, to another episode of FORCE FRIDAY here at Cloud City Cast!

We actually started with the shout out today since we ended things on a Fire When Ready, which was a lot of fun. So Britt and Liam give you a quick run down of our artist of the week, Sam Skyler @samskylerart, and a little back ground on Liam’s amazing pirate costume, courtesy of his ma.

Manoah and Liam met up to talk shop while at DJ’s down in sunny Hanford, CA to talk Force Friday, what toys they expect to see, and then went on a giant tangent about whether or not we’ll see a more diverse cast of characters on the bridge of the Death Star, and how it seems like Rogue One is somewhat the ignored little sister to last year’s The Force Awakens.

In our Fire When Ready we actually debated whether or not Boba Fett was actually good at his job, or just a lot of hype. Welcome back Castalysts, to another episode of Walt Wednesday here at Cloud City Cast!

Liam complains about ESPN not meeting his outrageous soccer commentary expectations and Brittany complains about Liam. Pretty much par for the course. But also sexy cosplay could be a little more cosplay and a little less sexy for this family’s Halloween.

The only way Peter Pan was every going to lose to a bunch of Pirate’s would be if his Fantasmic segment was replaced by the Black Pearl. Frozen 2 script is still in the works, thank goodness, so hopefully we’ll have our excitement back when it finally comes out. Stitch Great Escape is apparently not so great, but may be escaping Walt Disney World at the start of next year, until then it’ll be seasonal operation for 626. Wanna be in a Disney commercial? Me too! A Miami casting agency wants to send you and your family to Europe and will even pay you to do so! Twitter might have to change it’s name to Squeaker once the House of Mouse buys it out. Don’t worry, you can still squeak out 140 characters, you’ll just have Hidden Mickey’s for O’s.

Saving all the shout outs for Fan Flag Fly, we highlight our artist of the week, @samskylerart, an amazing artist, friend of the show, and previous guest! Make sure you follow her on instagram and check out her etsy shop to support her by buying her kaleidoscope art book! Welcome back Castrapologists, to another episode of Marvel Monday here at Cloud City Cast!

We’ve been busy with soccer practices and family dinners, but we still make time to put in a Disney movie even if it’s just background noise while we eat dinner. But let’s be honest, when Aladdin is on, everyone is singing along. We also chatted about the season opener for Agents of SHIELD, and how much of a needed asset Ghost Rider is for the show. Don’t worry, we kept the spoilers to ourselves.

We had a bunch of news bits for the episode, so we had to give them to you one at a time so you don’t choke! From Luke Cage coming out on Netlix at the end of the week, to Benedict Cumberbatch almost missing out on getting to play Doctor Strange, to #NationalComicBookDay, and finishing up with Sam Neill reuniting with Taika Waititi and Jeff Goldbloom for Thor: Ragnarock, Marvel sneaking it’s way into WDW, and Avengers Infiinity War being more gauntlet than actual war.

Saving all the shout outs for Fan Flag Fly, we highlight our artist of the week, @samskylerart, an amazing artist, friend of the show, and previous guest! Make sure you follow her on instagram and check out her etsy shop to support her by buying her kaleidoscope art book!

Welcome back Castarifics, to another episode of Force Friday here at Cloud City Cast!

It’s been throwback movie nights here at the C3 household as we watched Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl and Remy was not impressed, other than when the Pirates were skeletons.

We tried to record this later than usual, so we were a little off our game, plus Disney has been few and far between with any actual news out of the Star Wars camp. We did manage, however, to talk about Bob Iger’s speech concerning the continuation of the Star Wars saga into the next decade, Carrie Fisher ditching out of NYCC to film additional scenes for Episode 8, and the return of a particularly awesome Star Wars themed light show to Disney World.

Saving all the shout outs for Fan Flag Fly, we highlight our artist of the week, @missmaelaroux, a fantastic tattoo artist right out of Central California who recently went to the parks to hand out free gift cards! Give her a follow!

Welcome back Castastics, to another episode of Walt Disney Wednesday here at Cloud City Cast!

We spent the last couple days catching up on some movies we haven’t watched in a while, specifically 2008’s The Incredible Hulk and 2003’s The Haunted Mansion (which we actually review in our final segment)!

Prepare to pull out your soapbox as Brittany and Liam discuss possible pass holder blackouts for future attractions, new Moana Halloween costumes, and the downfall of our beloved Tower of Terror!

Saving all the shout outs for Fan Flag Fly, we highlight our artist of the week, @missmaelaroux, a fantastic tattoo artist right out of Central California who recently went to the parks to hand out free gift cards! Give her a follow! And join in as we review The Haunted Mansion, as well as what we’d like to see Guillermo Del Toro do with it in the next few years.

Welcome back Castastics, to another episode of Walt Disney Wednesday here at Cloud City Cast!

We’re all sucked into Civil War now that it’s out on Blu-Ray and DVD, so what better way to spend your week than to watch it every single night, bonus features and all!

Robert Downey Jr continues to tease us about the possibility of an Iron Man 4, but was his recent tweet an extra scene at the end of Dr. Strange or Guardians Vol 2 teasing Spider-man: Homecoming, or just another ruse to get our hopes up? Spidey may have some gender swapping news for one of their classic characters, Doctor Strange sneak peak is coming to California Adventure and Disney World, and could we see another hero making their way to Netflix? Come and find out!

Saving all the shout outs for Fan Flag Fly, we highlight our artist of the week, @missmaelaroux, a fantastic tattoo artist right out of Central California who recently went to the parks to hand out free gift cards! Give her a follow!
