Hyperfixation: A Queer Fandom Podcast

Gearing up for the start of Book of Boba Fett, the gang goes through Boba Fett's early life from the prequels, Clone Wars, and some legends stuff. Why was he sent to an adult prison? Did he ever move on from witnessing Jango's death? Do he and Bossk have friendship bracelets?

Briikasak is a Mando'a word meaning a social gathering among comrades during difficult times. In Briikasak: A Mandalorian Podcast, three queer comrades with varying degrees of Star Wars knowledge socially gather to discuss The Mandalorian, Mandalorian lore, and Star Wars in general.

The gang finishes Republic Commando: True Colors. Bessany continues to be a badass bitch. The list of people who know about Darman's baby before him continues to grow. The T.E.R.F. is gonna T.E.R.F. and Marika offends Cork by not shipping Fi and Sev enough.

In the first regular season episode in so long they nearly forgot how to do it, the gang has a quick chat about the Book of Boba Fett trailer. Cork and Bret love how much Tatoonie lore there is. Was that voice Din's? Did Cork discover a Prospect connection on IMDB?

Cork's obsession with Maul continues and True Colors is delayed another week. The gang goes through Maul's appearances in Star Wars: Rebels to see his fixation on Ezra, his drama hood, and his final stand-off with Obi-wan. Also, Kanan cosplays Cyclops and Sabine gets the Dark Saber.

The gang finally covers the third Republic Commando book, True Colors. Has Vau surpassed Kal as the okay-est dad? Why is Bessany's forensic accounting the most exciting part? And of course, Etain miscarries because what else can a pregnant character do?

The gang plus Shadow the cat takes their first foray into Star Wars: Rebels. The clones are crazy old men sharing a bed now,  Sabine is a silly looking Mandalorian, Cork and Bret met Darth Maul at Cincinnati Comic Expo, and Marika likes Rebels more than Bad Batch.

Briikasak and Ahsoka return to Clone Wars for the only reason Cork has made us watch it: the finale arc. The immortal Bo-Katan fails to retake Mandalore, Cork has some theories about Rook Kast, Anakin and his weird hair go full Vader, and Rex and Ahsoka are force to fight and then bury all of their friends...yay.

*Correction: We will be back on Sept. 28 talking about Republic Commando: True Colors.

The gang joins Fives and AZ as they uncover the inhibitor chips. Cork wants to visit 79s, Bret explains the importance of AZ's survival of the raddest, and Marika is still impressed with this show. Fives is baby, everybody is kissing, and the whitewashing is still really bad.

The gang talks about the two-part finale of The Bad Batch. Bret brings up how it directly copies Rebels. Cork explains all the reasons it failed and everyone comes up with ideas for how it could have been better. Glad that's over. Is it time for Book of Boba Fett yet?

Briikasak returns to its original purpose and talks about the Mandalorians in Clone Wars. Satine is a terrible spy, Darth Maul is Cork's baby, and we get the first appearances of the Dark Saber and gatekeep, gaslight, girl boss Bo-Katan.
