Next week: Transformers: Armada part 2

The inevitable result of a show’s dub premiering before the show itself.

Autobots and Decepticons continue their eternal war, this time over smaller transformers that supposedly don’t want to be a part of it. Meanwhile, Michael is dumbfounded by the lack of characterization for the Minicons, Peter explains why there are no honorable mentions despite the episodic nature of the show, and both hosts contemplate the possibility that the sequel series is even worse.

Also included: nonsensical dialogue exchanges, the Squeaky-Voiced Teen gets his series debut, is Hotshot prejudiced against Minicons?

Transformers: Armada Part 2 will release July 29

It’s the Spider-Man you know and love, just changed completely and piloting a giant robot from the Spider Planet! Y’know, just like Spider-Man!

Next week: Transformers: Armada Part 1

A season co-produced by Cartoon Network doesn’t pull any punches, be they giant-robot sized and literal or simply mindbending twists.

Roger Smith wakes up in an alternate Paradigm City, where none of the trappings of this show exist. It kind of makes sense, once things wrap up. Meanwhile, Michael is frustrated by a comedy focused episode, Peter points out Michael’s tendency to say he “actually” likes something as though that’s uncommon, and both hosts caution about monumental spoilers.

Also included: playing with toys, Michael’s confusion with barely-related things, further argument as to whether “Red” Dorothy is a robot

Transformers: Armada Part 1 will release July 15

What happens when everyone in the world loses their memory? No matter, giant robots are here to distract you!

Roger Smith is Paradigm City’s top negotiator, and don’t question what exactly that means. Meanwhile, Michael takes issue with what he considers the show’s stated concept, Peter praises the visual design, and both hosts suffer Big O related amnesia.

Also included: a startling lack of Rita Repulsa, trying to describe Big O’s arms, “Megadeus” vs. “Megadeuce”

The Big O Part 2 will release June 24

Who is it knocking off members of the Justice League Unlimited? Probably the one you least suspect…

Batman’s back to his old tricks, so no more High School stuff, and a whole lot more Justice League and also an international terrorist organization. Meanwhile, Michael corrects peter’s pronunciation of “Ra’s” and gets confused about when Batman begins came out, Peter doesn’t particularly like a brief batman musical, and both hosts conclude that Batman Beyond is a pretty solid visit.

Also included: Silver Fox Bruce *and* Superman, the flaws of bingeing episodic programming, a sign of Zeta (Project)

The Big O Part 1 will release June 18

Much less importantly, the episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation we discussed briefly is Season 5 Episode 6: The Game. Just watch the first ten minutes, you’ll see *exactly* what we were talking about.

A series in which the oppressed play a trading card game while riding on motorcycles.
