This recording is designed to guide you into hypnosis using an effective hypnotic induction developed by my American instructor, Calvin Banyan—the so-called 5-PATH induction. Following that is a deepener taught to me by my Danish instructor, Karen Westh Nielsen. Therefore, you must not listen to this recording while driving, operating machinery, or in any situation that requires your active attention.

Hypnosis is a state of focused attention where your mind is particularly receptive to positive suggestions. You do not fall asleep, as a part of you remains awake. It is a natural state that occurs, among other times, at the threshold of falling asleep and waking up. For this reason, I may occasionally speak of "sleeping" or "waking" simply as signals to shift states of consciousness.

Although your mind is more receptive, it is never uncritical. If I offer a suggestion in this recording that you do not care for, your mind can simply choose to ignore it or awaken from hypnosis altogether. In the same way, you will naturally become fully alert if anything in your surroundings suddenly requires your attention.

Because this recording is created for prevention, I recommend listening to it one or more times when you are not currently experiencing an attack. If you find that it also helps ease discomfort during an active attack of severe migraine or a mild headache, you are of course welcome to use it.

When listening to this recording, find a comfortable place where you can relax. It is entirely up to you whether you choose to sit upright or lie down. If you tend to fall asleep while listening, I recommend choosing a slightly less comfortable sitting posture, while still allowing yourself to relax. Deep sleep is not the primary objective of this session, though you are free to use it that way if you wish.

All you need to do is relax and follow my suggestions. Your subconscious mind will handle the rest, provided you allow it to.

In the time following this session, you might notice subtle shifts in your awareness. You may experience an impulse to eat something you rarely eat, or to let go of foods you consume frequently. Or perhaps you feel inspired to replace an old habit with a healthier, more supportive one. As long as these impulses are positive and safe, feel free to follow them.
