A little bit different this week. While we're in between Season 2, A Link to the Podcast, and Season 3, The Podcast of Time, we wanted to bring you our thoughts on the Nintendo Direct.
Each week, join the Hyrule Podcasters as we play through all (well, almost all) The Legend of Zelda games in (roughly) release date. Our hope is that this podcast will transport you back to the first time that you played through this truly magical series.
(00:00) Oh boy do we drag out the intro this week. Patrick and Ben both have big life updates that we wanted to share with y'all.
(10:16) We leave Turtle Rock and head west a few screens to tackle Ganon's Tower.
(32:55) We have snagged all items from the bottom of Ganon's Tower; now we make our way up through the tower... it is hard.
(44:01) We start the final boss battle!!!
(62:03) Our final thoughts on the season — A Link to the Podcast, and the game — A Link to the Past
A few things!
We're taking the next week or two off just for a break (breaks are healthy!)
Before Season 3 starts, we are going to be doing some different things in the feed so keep your ears peeled.

(00:00) Round 2 of Patrick on the sticks and us recording in person! We come in hot and doesn't let up. Also, mom is in Ganon's Castle in BOTW.
(03:22) We do a bunch of prep to get ready to tackle Turtle Rock and then open it up to get to our last dungeon! (Also, a snap turtle story.)
(13:17) We enter Turtle Rock. Will we finish this dungeon in this episode???
(23:27) We get down a floor and there are pipes everywhere! Were should we go?
(38:00) How will Patrick do against the Turtle Rock boss - Trinexx?

PATRICK'S ON THE STICKS AGAIN, BABYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!
(00:00) We've gone back to a slightly longer intro. Patrick gives us a life update and we talk a bit about Arnold!
(04:44) Heading west to Misery Mire! Patrick thinks that I make this trip harder than it has to be... he is correct.
(23:11) We've explored a large chunk of this dungeon but cannot get to the big chest... so, we light some braziers and make the dungeon bigger!(34:24) Two quotes from Patrick on this section: "This is one of the best enemies" & "Ugh, it's stuck in... whoa!!"
(42:32) We get a giant bomb, then we get a giant bomb, and we get a giant bomb. What will we blow up???

(0:00) We gib gab for a bit this week. (3:30) We're jumping right into the next dungeon — Gargoyle's Domain! This dungeon uses sunlight in an interesting way... (19:00) Instead of finding one of the captured girls in a crystals we find one in a jail cell?? That doesn't seem right... (23:00) Having defeated Blind and acquired the Titan's Mitt, we can now get all sorts of items.

(00:00) We jump in and provide some much needed updates on Patrick's fire beard. (03:00) Next, we wander around Hyrule with our new tool THE HOOKSHOT trying to get all sorts of goodies... it goes OK. (24:00) We make our way into the Spooooooooooky Woods in search of the third dungeon. Ben has stated this is his hardest dungeon... will he manage to not die???

(0:00) Seems like we've shortened our intro a few minutes - CAUSE THERE ARE GAMES TO BE PLAYED! (we also discuss the most definite of the modal verbs.) (2:20) We do a bunch of stuff bouncing back and forth between the Light and Dark Worlds. Getting medallions, shovels, flutes, etc. Typical Hero of Time stuff... (13:30) Patrick tells an amazing story while Ben does some tedious grinding. (25:00) We make our way to the Swamp Palace and quickly forget our promise to the Magic Hammer once we get the true MVP item in A Link to the Past!

(00:00) Real quick intro and we try to get started ASAP! (2:00) We head out from the Dark Palace in search of the Eastern Palace. (27:00) With the Helmasaur King defeated and the Magical Hammer, we venture out into the Dark World! (40:00) We then decide to "play around" in Death Mountain... it doesn't go well.

Programing note! Patrick has the sticks and we are recording in person for a few weeks!!!
(00:00) Real quick intro and we try to get started pronto! (2:50) We enter the Dark World, change into a bunny, try to stop a bully from kicking a ball, and then enter the Tower of Hera in hopes of finding the Moon Pearl. (22:00) We conquer Moldorm, get the last Pendant and Moon Pearl, and then make our way to the Master Sword. (32:30) Having retrieved the sword that evil fears, we learn that Princess Zelda has been kidnapped by Agahnim — we must enter Hyrule Castle and save the Princess!
