In Pt.2 of the I Agree series, Pastor T.J. Tyus elaborates how to be on one accord with God and the people that matter most in your life. Scriptural text from 1 John and Acts show how we can approach God and how staying rooted in him brings about great results.
1:10 - Rejoice and be glad in the day that he has made! Count your blessings that you’ve received from God and don’t go looking for the storm.
4:30 - 1 John 3:19-22 states, we can come to Him with bold favors because He’s pleased with us. When our hearts are in the right place, we are then able to rest in his presence.
10:32 - God’s word does not return void. It doesn’t matter what happens in between the promises that are made. It’s up to us to be faithful and trust that’ll come to fruition on his timing. Delay does not mean denial! Look at delay as opportunities to build the endurance of your faith so that you may lack nothing. James 1:4 states “Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”
17:07 - God is never late, he is always on time.
17:40 - Acts 12:12 tells us how Peter arriving at the door was a miracle after being thrown in prison to be persecuted. Stay connected to the belief of your prayers. Be prepared to get up and forward when your angel comes to get you!
Takeaways
1. What are you doing when things aren’t comfortable for you? Remember 1 John 3:24 that if we remain grounded in what we do, we shall prevail.
2. What agreement do you have with others? Be sure to write it down so that you can stay clear in fellowship with the agreement established.
3. What would change for yourself an others around if the continuance of prayer and fellowship remained constant?
