This week, This Mortal Coil! A musical collaboration of 4AD founder Ivo Watts Russel and John Fryer along with contributions by many of the labels artists like, The Cocteau Twins, Dead Can Dance, Modern English, Clan of Xymox, The Pixes, and Throwing Muses. Doing cover versions of such greats as Genne Clark, The Apartments, Big Star, Colorbox, Syd Barret, The Talking Heads and many many more. Sound confusing? It kind of is, but it is also really very great music! Be sure to listen to the mix to get a good sampling and then go out an buy some records!

This week we get into the divine noise and melodies of My Bloody Valentine. Lets listen together as Melissa tries to fill in the gaps in their early catalog with their more well known and hugely influential later recordings. This is a love letter to noise, chaos, and a band that makes music like no other and we're all much better for it. We suggest you listen to the YouTube Music mix as it contains all of the music we talk about in this episode. Unfortunately Spotify does not have all the early more rare tracks.

This is a fun one! Melissa takes us to church with The Church. We explore the psych-a-thereal dueling guitars, tight-ass bass, in-the-pocket-drumming, and transcendental lyrical singing of Mr. Kilbey. Come for some stone cold classic alt-rock and get a little house on the prairie?!? As always please listen to the mix linked below!
