  • I ain't scared and you can't make me

We Want To Hear From YOU!

    I ain't scared & You can't make me

I want to talk to you about something that is the underlying cause and root of sin, our wrong decision, bad relationships, family dysfunction, spirit of procrastination, racism, abuse, manipulation, un-forgiveness, hatred, debilitating insecurities, and our lack of faith.

I am talking about fear.  God gave me this word a week ago and all week he has been giving me a word about fear, he has been showing me how impactful and prominent it is in our lives.

2 Timothy 1:7 tells us for God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

But why isn’t it just common sense in some instances to fear.  Fear for physical safety in the sight of danger, yes that is reason for us to be scared.  But fear produces evil and sin.  Fear can be like shackles that bind us to everything God sent his Son to free us from.

God like any other good parent won’t give us what will harm, kill or destroy us and fear is a life threatening disease.

  • JEWELS: Everybody's Best Friend

We Want To Hear From YOU!

If we are blessed you will have at least one person in this life you can call a true friend and if you are really blessed your spouse will reign a a prized friend as well.

If you are like me and understand the depth of friendship, the word friend just doesn’t seem enough.  I consider a true friend a jewel more precious than diamonds, priceless.

The bible tells  us that a friend is one who lifts you up when you fall, A friend encourages you when you are no longer encouraged, prays with and for you without being asked.

  • Welcome The Test

We Want To Hear From YOU!

As we lay the foundation for 2021.  I want to let you know regardless how well you plan, and how much you pray challenges and trials will come, it’s inevitable.  But have no fear because it is the challenges and trials that come with the best lessons.  It is the challenges and trials that strengthen us.  It’s the challenges and trials that remind us of the God we serve.

1 Peter 1:7 These trials are only to test your faith, to see whether or not it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests gold and purifies it—and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold; so if your faith remains strong after being tried in the test tube of fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day of his return.

The old saints used to say a faith that can’t be tested can be trusted.  Faith is better than a friend but like a friend it doesn’t show itself valuable until you are faced with some stuff, until your plans have been derailed, until your money gets so funny it’s not a laughing matter.

What happens when challenges and trials come, we begin to remember who God is, we begin to speak his word out loud, we begin to use our creativity to maneuver through the detoured paths.  But what is even better is when God shows up in the middle of our challenges and trials and shows us something we would have never noticed about ourselves, others or a situation had we not been in the position at that particular moment.

We come through the challenges and trials with a little more experience and wisdom, but best of all a testimony. So welcome the challenges, embrace the trial with faith in an almighty God who we see you through the test.

  • 2021 Financial Focus

We Want To Hear From YOU!

This week I have been focused on helping you lay the foundation for a great year.  We talked yesterday about shifting atmospheres, today I want to talk to you about your financial focuses for this year.

And I am going to begin with what some struggle most with, but is essential in God’s plan of prosperity, giving.

Rather than desiring to heap riches upon ourselves, the biblical model is one of giving, not getting. “Remember this: Whoever gives  sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever gives generously will also reap generously.

We tend to not understand how giving will put us in a position to have more, it makes no mathematical sense.  And it never will; it's a God thing which requires us to put our faith in God, to trust that  His word is true. I encourage each of you to open up a faith account that builds based on your giving, the more you invest in your faith account monitored by the Kingdom of God, the more dividends become available to you.

(2 Corinthians 9:6-7) Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver”. In other words, you are allowed to ease into the practice of giving.  Did the you know that giving is the only thing God tells us to test him about?  In  Malachi 3:10 test Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out blessings that you will not have room to receive.

Proverbs 6: provides wisdom concerning laziness and the financial ruin that is inevitably attached to such behavior. We are told to consider the industrious ant who works to store up food for itself. The passage also warns against sleeping when we should be working at something profitable.  In other words, stop dreaming when you should be working. Put your ideas to work the bible tells us  a  “sluggard” person is a lazy, slothful person who would rather rest than work and that this person’s end is assured—poverty.

At the other end of the spectrum is the one who is obsessed with gaining money is not pleasing in the sight of God. Such a one, according to Ecclesiastes 5:10, never has enough wealth to satisfy him and must be constantly grasping more and more. First Timothy 6:6-11 also warns against the trap of desiring wealth.  The bible tells us that it is harder for a rich man to get into heaven than it is for a camel to get through the eye of a needle, and that is because when one get caught into the trap of desiring wealth, that becomes their sole priority, everything else becomes second, including the will and the ways of God

We are also encouraged to be good stewards of what God has given us. In Luke 16:1-13, Jesus told the parable of the dishonest steward as a way of warning us against poor stewardship and making a habit of frivolous spending. The moral of the story is “So if you have not been trustworthy in handling what you have, who can trust you with true riches?”

We are to be wise with our money. We are to save money, but not hoard it. We are to spend money, but with discretion and control. We are to give back to the Lord, joyfully and sacrificially. We are to use our money to help others.

It is not wrong to be rich, but it is wrong to love money. It is not wrong to be poor, but it is wrong to waste money on trivial things. The 2021 Financial focus is consistent with biblical teaching, be wise.

  • SAGE BURNING: A better option

We Want To Hear From YOU!

I know many of you as we have welcomed in this new year want to start everything off fresh, shift the atmosphere in your home. You want to remove negative and evil spirits and many think the solution is  the burning of sage, but I want to talk to you about what works so much better and has been tried, tested and proven effective since the beginning of time.

Many deem sage burning as a spiritual ritual.  What I want to make perfectly clear this morning is that every spiritual ritual is not godly.  Demons and Satan are also of the spirit realm.

1 John 4:1 reads “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God”

You all know my favorite saying is an inconsistent truth is a lie and a lie can be of God, because God can’t  lie and He detest lying.

So let’s put sage burning the spiritual test.  First and foremost one of the ten commandments is that we are to have no other god before Him.  The moment you put your faith in anyone or anything to align or realign your life you have made it your god.

Burning sage is essentially saying that God does not have the power, or ability to shift the atmosphere, so you need to buy and burn something to do what God can do.

James 2:19 tells us with just the sound of the name Jesus, demons tremble.  The Word of God tells us to not become conformed to the ways of this world, in other words don’t follow the trends, they will lead you away from the promises of God.

Sage burning is nowhere in the bible, as a matter of fact it would be biblically classified as “strange incense” in Isaiah 1:13 Bring no more futile sacrifices; Incense is an abomination to Me.

As believers when we see the popularity of something building those are the things we should be particularly discerning about, because the things Satan always seem to always draw a crowd and go viral .

If you want to shift the atmosphere in your home, start afresh this new year, drive out unclean and negative spirits. Begin to make it a practice to exalt prayer and worship in your home.  Set some standards, no meal eaten without grace, eliminate foul language from plaguing the atmosphere, shut down activities and habits you know are not pleasing to God.

Saging gives us false hope, as we believe we are driving out negativity and unclean spirits when in actuality, we are nurturing and multiplying them.  The burning sage may run them into the corners temporarily, but rest assured nothing and I mean nothing  can drive out unclean spirits but God.

But this false sense of  hope also pacifies our flesh as we keep doing things our way, engaging in activities and practices not pleasing in the sight of God. We tend to fall into the mindset of putting God on a shelf, taking Him off when we need Him, we don’t want him in our business unless we ask Him to intercede, but then wonder why our atmospheres are chaotic.

If you are sincere about shifting your atmosphere and driving out all that is ungodly, then turn your home over to God, let praise and prayer be the cornerstone of your household. Ushering the spirit of God is better than burning sage, it’s more effective and costs so much less.

Let everything in your home reverence his presence. Mark 3:11 And whenever the unclean spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.” God is the answer to shift the atmosphere.

  • 90 Day Warranty

We Want To Hear From YOU!

Just because a certain medicine doesn’t taste good doesn’t mean it won’t heal the body. The same with the Bible, the very fact that God can’t lie and the Word of God doesn’t change and has and will forever transcend time is the best life insurance policy available.

Test it try it out. You say you don’t know where to start, start with your heart.  Whatever is on your heart, what ever is troubling you, whatever is confusing you, whatever you have questions about start with those things.  See what God says, extend to God at least that same as manufacturers extend to us, give God 90 days to show himself and once he come through extend the warranty to cover you for one year, then guaranteed you will enroll in his lifetime plan.

The word of God says to study to show thy self approved. If you want his approval on anything in your life, see what his word says follow His plan and you will obtain his approval.  There is no approval greater than God’s

Don’t be afraid to partner up with someone as you embrace this challenge Ecclesiastes 4:9-1Two are better than one, If either falls ,one can help the other up.  remember.

  • Add Fruit To Your Lifestyle

We Want To Hear From YOU!

Going into the new year, many are preparing themselves to begin dieting to lose weight.  And fruit is one food that many add to their diet as it suppresses their appetite while providing nutrients.  As we have committed to leveling up our prayer lives, we too must commit to a new lifestyle concerning what we consume. Not a diet that lasts a certain amount of time, but a lifestyle and that lifestyle also calls for fruit.  The fruits of the spirit which include love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
