When Jesus called his first disciples and said follow me, they heard those words of course but underneath those words the understood something deeper from Jesus, “Follow me and you will become just like me.” Perry first heard that call when his life was an thorough mess.

“You can’t handle the truth!!!” What an intense scene in A Few Good Men. The truth is the truth whether we believe it or not - but there are times that we struggle to see it for what it is. I think that’s because the truth confronts & displaces the lies. When the truth comes bursting through, the lies lose all their power. Jesus is the Truth and He speaks the Truth to you and me that we are loved, forgiven, and chosen to carry God’s love to the world.
