 I know I know unpredictable income is not predictable.

Sharing the results I have.

It took time and intention.

Creating a financial portfolio.

Focusing on the "budget" it's a bad word for me because it reminds me of restrictions. 

Creating budgets for families and going over them and saying, "Okay, here's your income, here's your expenses, stay within the budget, don't go over the budget, don't borrow from one category to cover another category, thinking you can play catch up later, because that's what we're always doing."

The concept of borrowing, you're always playing catch up. 

A lot of business entrepreneurs are using credit to survive. 

What are you doing with the money that's coming in? 

During the pandemic so many people were laid off, right, and got unemployment, an extra $600 a week on top of their regular unemployment. 

They had all this money, they didn't know what to do with it. 

It doesn't matter. If someone doesn't know what to do with the $1,000. They're not going to know what to do with $10,000. 

It doesn't matter how much money you make, it's what you do with it. 

All budgets should equal 0.

A budget is not a guide. It's a strategy that keeps you on track.

Allocating your funds, giving every dollar a job.

Always staying within the guide so you know exactly where your money is.

No=rejection.

Growing up I was told no so many times.

Frustrated, irritated, I didn't understand why I couldn't have designer jeans.

Bartering didn't always work.

Being told they were too much funny & the local K-Mart offered quality jeans at a much lower price, we would have to shop there.

This junior high girl who hung out with rich girls didn't want to hear that.

Taking matters into my own hands, I figured out that the only way to get these jeans was to steal them...not a great choice & I ended up not doing it for me...foolish to say the least.

Realizing that my 13 year old self was tired of being told no, I declared that when. I had kids, they were getting designer clothes...and they did.

Instead of focusing on there not being enough, my husband & I set aside a dollar amount for clothes.

Each child had $250 to spend on school clothes. 

What they decided to buy with that money, was their choice.

Shop the clearance rocks or invest in $200 jeans, you get to decide but once the money is gone, it's gone. 

Money strategy 101.

My kids now shop at thrift stores & clearance racks realizing that name brands with tags are here.

Instead of saying no, look for a strategic way to get what you want so you can say yes.

 It was a sunny day. It was so warm out. 

We were having an Indian summer on this crisp fall day, the leaves were just starting to fall. 

As I got home from work, a tow truck pulled up behind me. 

And I thought, well, they are just turning around, but lo & behold, it  stopped at the end of my driveway and started backing up. 

What is this tow truck doing? It proceeded to take the hook and tow my card. 

What is this some kind of a practical joke? 

What are you doing? And the person said, Oh, we have orders to repo your car. 

Say what?!

I was livid.  Stop it. I'm calling the police. You have the wrong vehicle, you have the wrong person. 

After they verified my info, I was shocked, several phone calls later, I was able to keep the car & found out that my part-time employer had forged my name on a personal loan.

Of course I gave all the information freely away.

Fool me once.

 Gave my buying power away.

Trusted someone who blind sided me.

Worrying that money would always be taken from me, I lost it all. 

Someone stole my buying power...I played the blame game & filed for bankruptcy...add another shameful mistake to my portfolio.

Partnering with money changed this dirt perspective.  

Realizing the good that came from that experience helped me become a millionaire, and no, it didn't happen over night...it took time & intention.

I remember the first time I had fun money, 10% of my income  just for me.

It was so much fun to splurge knowing it was set aside specifically for this.

I chose to splurge at the local farm market.

Donuts, bear claws, cookies, cider all came to a whopping $50.20...as I happily handed over the cash my husband shook his head commenting that it was way too much. It's all in one's perspective. I happily responded, "No worries, it's covered, it's my fun money."

Can you imagine what it looks like to breathe in to wealth, health and relationships? 

If I told you there was a magic pill to increase your wealth, how would you respond?

We all know there is no magic pill, there's no quick fix. It takes commitment. 

But we all know that it's simple. It's so simple that we don't do it. Why not? 

What's your why? When you know your why you can figure out the steps to create limitless abundance. 

But so many of us focus on all the things that go wrong, and all the negativity and it's always about something else. 

I was on the phone earlier today. And the person just spewed frustration and aggravation in regards to being responsible for aging parents, and the toll that's taking on them and there's just so much stuff. Her mom's a hoarder, and when you walk into her three bedroom ranch, there's two bedrooms that are packed with clothes upon clothes. 

This has been a thing where the mom has always gone shopping every single week, hit the clearance racks and bought clothes, some of them still have tags on them. Having this addiction, this desire what's the why? 

Why is this person doing that? 

We all have reasons why we choose to do what we do, and most the time, we have no idea that past choices dictate what we're going to do today. 

As my friend shared her concerns and frustrations with me, as she was making decisions, she was going back and forth. 

Comparing herself to being human and not being human. 

Who judges that? 

Realizing that we all have addictions. Some buy clothes others get subscriptions.

Some over invest while others spend all their money on traveling.

Take a look at where your money goes.

 Then ask yourself how spending your money this way helps you grow.

How does it bring you joy.

Once you know your why you and money can become partners and you can start really investing in things that are going to help you grow  and get you to where you want to go.
