I Didn't Know Church Could Be This Way!   

Acts 2 

“…upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.”Matthew 16:18b

When Jesus Builds His Church …

1. His Church is: Spiritually Alive

Wind/Fire – symbolizes God

Acts 2:4 - “And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.”

2. His Church is: Biblically Serious

Jeremiah 17:9 : “The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?”

Hebrews 4:12: “For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.”

 Acts 2:37: “Peter’s words pierced their hearts, and they said to him and to the other apostles, ‘Brothers, what should we do?’”

3. His Church is: Community Blessing
