Texas Governor Greg Abbott has launched a desperate power grab by having his Texas Education Agency takeover the Houston Independent School District. The TEA's takeover has resulted in all nine elected board members being dismissed and having new ones appointed by the state's Commissioner of Education, Mike Morath.
