With all of the terrible things that have happened this year, I want to take a moment to remind everyone that we can still be thankful. There were some great things that happened this year. Make sure that while we don't ignore the negative, that we accentuate the positive.

Once upon a time, families around the world would participate in time-honored traditions to celebrate the holidays each year. They would be as varied and unique as the families themselves, but most shared the common theme of coming together if fellowship. Over time, those traditions have evolved or erroded into something else. Have those changes improved? Not in my opinion. You be the judge.

Without pulling any punches, or beating around the bush...Mean People Suck. They make our lives a mess, they cause us emotional trauma, and they are generally a pain to deal with. This week, I briefly touch on some of my tips to end the cycle.

Not everyone handles change very well. When the person dealing with the change is your loved one, it is difficult watching things unfold. In this episode, I offer suggestions on what you can do to help.

We've all had the little squabbles with our siblings, and arguments with our parents. They are a part of growing up in "any" family. When we let those fights get out of control, though, they can do some serious harm. This week, I do my best to offer some suggestions on how to deal with them.

Every one of the technological advances that we use, movies that we watch, books we read, or work of art that we enjoy started out as someone's dream. If it wasn't for their drive and determination, they wouldn't have come through. This week, I support those that are trying to make their dreams happen.

Aesop once said that "it is possible to have too much of a good thing". Here we are more than 2400 years later and we still haven't learned how true that is. This week, I examine a few things that we do in excess and their effects on us. I hope you enjoy.
