Manda McVey is an Army Spouse, and not only that, she nominated for Army Spouse Of The Year. She is a resiliency teacher, yoga teacher, and a Wellness & Resiliency Coach. Stepping on to the show this week to talk about how important the spouse community is within the community itself.

You can’t pour from an empty cup is one of the most truthful ideas I have ever heard in my life- and as a Military Spouse, we feel it deeper. Manda shares the work she is doing in Tahoma, WA. Connecting the community with Mindful Memorial Day with Armor Down. Teaching resiliency in the spouse community, as well as holistic nutrition.

Kula, this week I’m so happy to bring you someone close to home for me. Holly and I meet through the community here in North Carolina. I started following her on Instagram and saw how she shared her story- and it inspired me so much.

One of the greatest things that we have access to as Armed Force Spouses is the community that surrounds us- Holly is my community and I’m so thankful that we sat down to talk and listen to her story of how she came to yoga. Finding the teaching style that she loves and even the journey of growth.
