Skateboarder Alex Adams reminded me about skateboarding. I first met Alex through Kristy Scott.

In fact many times I would get a few pictures of Alex while shooting pictures of Kristy. Then, Alex and I got on a conversation about backside thrusters. Soon after he is doing them in the bowl at Volcom skateboard park. And I am shooting the trick. Yes we know back thrusters are not the most photogenic trick. Alex and I dont care. Looking back it seems that we put skateboarding ahead of skateboard photography. Consequently Alex made me think about skateboarding.

A candid conversation with Michael Weber.

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away I met magician Michael Weber. I was a elementary school kid in the 1970’s looking for the latest in magic knowledge. And Michael worked at the Los Alamitos Magic shop. To say Michael Weber had a impact on my young self is a gross understatement.  You just don’t meet a guy like this everyday. Weber always made me laugh, amazed me, and was always kind to me. So how do you reconnect from a galaxy far far away, well Twitter I guess.  And if you are lucky enough to know Weber its probably no surprise to you that Michael Weber is that same force of imagination, creativity and kindness, that he always was!

Lastly and as a side note if Michael Weber were to hear this podcast he would gently remind me ” every dance is too long” or “if it can be cut it must be cut”, of course he’d be correct.
