I HAD to say it

What happened in Texas was truly terrible. There is no other way to say it. But what is worse to me the disgusting way the political machine on both sides of the aisle has pounced on it to start driving their agendas. Personally I am opposed to the gun grabbers for multiple reasons but one of my biggest issues with their stance is that it shows both a lack of understanding about firearms and human nature. If you know nothing about an item, why would I trust your decisions related to it. It is really so easy in our world to educate your self on a subject before opening your mouth, yet so few people do it. So I am going to elaborate on a tweet I made the other day and discuss the issue as I see it. And I am going to belabor the very basic fact that laws only impact the people who are already following them. And there are so many ways to do horrible things without a gun that if they magically all disappeared tomorrow there would still be a tragedy the same week. The root of the problem is not being addressed. We don't have a gun problem, we have a humanity problem. There are approximately 20,000 current gun laws and restrictions on the books. This is all virtue signaling and banner waving, gun laws don't work. All you will do is expose the law abiding citizens to a greater threat by removing their ability to defend themselves from people who couldn't care less about the law. And if you are going to stand on the graves of children to argue with me then your point is already invalid because with out the emotional quotient of the tragedy, you don't have a leg to stand on.

Gas is expensive, we all know this. I am tired of the people trying to justify it to defend their poor choices in elected officials. I am tired of people pointing to other countries to try and justify what is happening here. I am tired of what is looking like deliberate incompetency in our so called leaders that is only pushing towards inevitable conflicts. In this episode I rant about all of it. Meanwhile in coverage you have to dig for to find the food supply issues are getting worse. There is going to be a shift in what a lot of us are used to dealing with as far as day to day goes. Blah blah Will Smith, blah blah Oscars, blah blah Chris Rock. Now in news you should actually care about, Russia made a significant move this past week that has implications not only of pushing back against sanctions, but could also have impact on the value of the dollar. Inflation is still moving, and your money is worth less every day, but there are things that can help hedge against that too. Also Florida passed legislation basically  saying you can't talk about sex with kids in the single digit age range at school and the woke are losing their sh*t. Have any of them actually read the bill, most likely nah or they would know that it doesn't say anything about what they are bent out of shape about, and applies to EVERYONE, not just the people claiming outrage. It applies to the straight side too. Also I tell you about a cool website you should check out to maybe bring a little levity to your day.

I've been thinking a lot about finance and it has been taking my thoughts in some different directions. In this episode I share some thoughts on fiscal responsibility, and why we have so many problems with our money. Also I want to talk about why it is so easy for the powers that be to keep compounding the problems at hand while claiming to be trying to fix them, or at least take the sting out for the common man.
