Many of us dream of working 30 hour weeks—but what if you could work 30 hour MONTHS while traveling the world with your family and bringing in multiple 7 figures in revenue every year? Today’s guest Lisa Johnson has figured out the formula to do just that—and it’s all thanks to building her business on a passive income model.
As you know, I’ve always been passionate about helping women like you to create a life of financial abundance. But I’ve never believed in settling for business success alone—because what’s the point of making millions when you’re working around the clock, staring at the same four office walls, and never even seeing your kids? Unless you build your business in a way that supports your life (NOT the other way around), you’ll never be fully satisfied. And I won’t let you settle for anything less than you deserve and desire, lovely!
The beauty of this new age of business is that there’s no one-size-fits-all solution. You can move right past the realm of what’s ‘realistic’ and make your own rules—and all you have to do is decide that it’s possible for you. So if you believe that you’re capable of making 6 or 7 figures in revenue without overwhelm or overwork, and without trading every single hour of your time for money, then you already have all it takes to make passive income work for you.
I was absolutely thrilled to sit down with Lisa Johnson for this week’s episode of the I Heart My Life Show. Lisa is an expert strategist helping women worldwide to create passive and semi-passive income streams, and build a one-to-many business model that affords them more time, more freedom, and more money. She has built not one, but multiple 6 and 7 figure businesses, trying out different industries and business models for size until she finally found the one that fits her life best. And it brings in $5 million a year!
In this interview, Lisa pulls back the curtain on her success, speaking candidly about the struggles of being a single mother in the corporate world, and the lengthy trial-and-error involved in launching and scaling her companies. It’s been a long time since I’ve been so inspired by a guest’s story, and I know you will be, too!
Be sure to listen right to the end to find out Lisa’s top tell-tale signs that your audience is primed and ready for your passive income product.
In This Episode:
Quotes:
“Strategies are so important, but they don’t do anything unless you believe that it’s possible for you.” - Emily Williams
“To be the 5% of people that do actually make a success in business, we have to do what 95% of people won’t do.” - Lisa Johnson
“I can teach people how to make passive income in about 10 hours. If they just do everything I say, they'll make passive income. But over 50% will never make passive income. And it isn't because of the strategy—it's because they don't believe they can.” - Lisa Johnson
“Passive income exists, but I don’t think it’s passive. The reality is, the first time you make passive income, you're building an audience, you're learning how to launch, you're writing your content. The second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth time you put it out there is when it becomes passive. That's when it's great. But let's not pretend that we go to sleep and money somehow rains down on us from the sky, because that doesn't happen.” - Lisa Johnson

Picture this—the opportunity of your life shows up right on your doorstep. I’m talking about the chance to transform your life, uplevel your business, and literally start living out your wildest dreams. It’s here, and it’s yours for the taking. How do you respond?
Is your knee-jerk reaction be a full-body-and-soul YES, or do you tell it to come back later while you mull over the logistics? Do you jump in and follow your deepest desires, or do you hold back because you’ve got other plans, or you don’t feel like traveling, or because you’d have to sort out a babysitter to make it work? Maybe you even question the timing, or wonder whether you’re worthy of receiving it in the first place.
This scenario may seem too good to be true, but in reality, I see it play out every single day. The women in my community have unlimited potential to transform their lives and create a reality that’s better than their dreams—but all too often, they are actively blocking their own path. And you know what? They’re too close to even see it.
If you feel like you’re not moving forward with your dreams right now, it’s not because there are no opportunities in the wings, just waiting for you to seize them. Trust me, there are plenty. But every time they present themselves, you’ve got all your excuses ready to go.
Now, I’m not saying you have to say yes to every single thing that comes your way, but you DO owe it to yourself to tune into your desires and decide whether an opportunity is the right fit for you—rather than dismissing it right off the bat. That one small shift has made a massive difference in my own life, and I promise it will do the same for you.
In this episode of the I Heart My Life Show, I’m sharing everything I’ve learned about approaching and accepting soul-aligned opportunities, and navigating the ones that aren’t a good fit. Once you apply these simple tips and techniques in your own life, you’ll cut out the excuses, get clear on what you want and what you don’t, and see a true transformation.
In This Episode:
Quotes:
“If you really wanted to do that thing, you would find a way to make it happen. There wouldn’t be an excuse in the world that would keep you away from it. And that's how I view all the decisions that I make. If I want to do something, then I do it. I don’t make excuses.” - Emily Williams
“Be honest about what it is that you do and don't want, and be deliberate with your word choice. When we do that in everyday scenarios in our life, it becomes much easier to do it in the bigger instances. Practice it.” - Emily Williams
“If you feel the desire, that means you are energetically aligned with the thing. That means you are capable of achieving the thing. That means you are capable of bringing in the money. You are capable of carving out the time.” - Emily Williams
“Instead of dismissing something so quickly, tune in to whether it's the right fit for you. Allow that desire to guide you, because that's where the good stuff is. Your ego is going to tell you all the reasons why you can't, but you need to attach to all the reasons why you can. And when you do that, your life will transform.” - Emily Williams

What does your decision-making process look like? Do you lean all the way into your intuition, or structure your points with rock-solid data? Turns out, the most successful CEOs find a balance of both—or invest in advisors who make the right call for them.
Whether you’re still finding your feet in business or already scaling your way to 6 or 7 figures, strategic decision-making is a skill you’ve simply got to master. The sooner you do it, the easier it will be to steer your team in the right direction—and the quicker you’ll get to your next goal.
I may be as heart-centered as they come, but there’s no denying that things can slip through the cracks fast when you start losing sight of the facts. On the other hand, if you’re spending all of your time chasing numbers and comparing your biz to your competition, you could soon find yourself chairing up a business you don’t believe in. The sweet spot lies somewhere between thinking, feeling, learning, and executing—and today’s guest has a knack for helping top CEOs find it.
I’m so thrilled to be joined by business advisor and international speaker Mary Dee in today’s episode of the I Heart My Life Show. Mary has been helping CEOs and their executive suites make strategic decisions for over two decades, so if there’s anyone in the world who knows how to scale and grow a business from the ground up, it’s her! She’s a prime example of how tapping into your natural talents can translate to a purpose-filled life.
It was such a joy and privilege to be in Mary’s energy, and I know you will love listening to the lessons she shares in this episode. We talk about the top mistakes business owners make as they grow (both when they’re first starting out AND scaling past 7 figures), the key metrics you should be paying attention to from day one, and the value of mentorship at every single level of business.
You’ll also find out whether you are a coach or a team player type of CEO, and what that means about the people you should surround yourself with as you scale your business. Note-taking is highly advised!
In This Episode:
Quotes:
“Once you get to seven figures, you're going to need to look a little higher up and say, okay, if my goal is to scale past this number, who else has gone past this number that I know understands how things change, how things scale, how things grow, and what new problems might I end up running up against? We're outgrowing a first set of pants. We have to go get new pants.” - Mary Dee
“If there's anything I've learned, it's to keep trying something long enough. You're going to get good at it. And if you don't get good at it, you're going to get good at something.” - Mary Dee
“Even if a business finds you, it's important to understand what you are actually building. Are you building a lifestyle business or are you building a business that you're trying to take public and sell? Are you trying to serve a lot of people? Are you trying to serve just one person? There are so many details wrapped up in that.” - Mary Dee
“Find the person you resonate with, the person who has what you want. Latch onto that person, because they will really help shortcut some things for you. And you will not have as bumpy of a learning curve that a lot of people do when they don't ask for help. They kind of flounder around in secret, taking courses and trying to do some stuff in the background without ever leaning in. Instead, raise your hand, say I'm vulnerable and I'm coachable and I'm ready to show up. I believe the universe delivers when we do that.” - Mary Dee

Here’s a struggle all coaches know well. It’s one thing to coach your clients through their fears and self-doubts, and another thing entirely to coach yourself through them. So often, the very problems we help our clients solve are the blocks we experience on our own business journeys. That’s why coaches need coaches, too!
Sometimes, all it takes is ONE powerful question from someone who’s got no skin in the game to clear up the confusion, shift your entire perspective on a situation, and take the next steps necessary to move forward with confidence.
And that’s exactly what happens in today’s episode of The I Heart My Life Show. I sat down for a live coaching session with Gayle Damiano—a high-performance intuitive coach, a medium, and a self-defined “sober mom boss.” Through a mix of spiritual readings and coaching, Gayle helps her clients to tune into their intuition, speak to their highest self, and learn how to trust their inner voice.
Gayle has been in the business for years—she’s amazing at what she does, and she has the credentials, years of experience, and raving client testimonials to prove it. But lately, she’s been experiencing a crisis of confidence stemming from her deep-rooted desires to define herself, demonstrate competency in her field, and condense her many gifts into a signature coaching offer. She knows that it’s a transformative time, but going through the messy stages of growth has left her feeling stuck and stagnant.
It just goes to show that self-doubt, confusion, and overwhelm show up at every stage of business—not just at the beginning. Every time you get close to stepping into your full realm of possibility, you’re going to feel those fears creeping in. What matters is what you do next—whether you give in to the fear, or feel into it and come out the other end stronger and more driven than ever.
I know this conversation is going to serve so many of you who are struggling to streamline the way you show up, so I invite you to listen to the magic of coaching in action as Gayle unpacks what’s been holding her back, breaks through her mindset blocks, and finally gives herself permission to step into her full-fledged power.
In This Episode:
Quotes:
“What I'm observing from you is there are a lot of balls up in the air and a lot of confusion around what you call yourself. And the reality is, when we're confused, other people are going to be confused as well. If you were to go all in, not worry about what people will think about the language or anything, what would you call yourself?” - Emily Williams
“This happens a lot of times with women where we just tiptoe around our marketing and we don't actually speak our truth. Think about the people who are the most in your face, who are obvious about what it is that they do. If I ever find myself not being specific or going into that place of tip-toeing, I ask myself, what would this person do? How would they talk about their product? How would they speak to the results if they're talking about their best case scenario?” - Emily Williams
“If you trusted yourself fully, what would you be doing differently right now? If you were guaranteed to be successful, what would you be selling? What would you be promoting? There’s been so much tiptoeing and hesitation, but people like confidence. They want to know that you are an expert. And so the more specific you can be, the better.” - Emily Williams

In love, as in business, you’ve got to be really mindful of who you attract into your world. And unless you take a step back to examine and shift the limiting beliefs you’ve formed around relationships over the years, you might just find yourself settling for less than you deserve (or worse, stuck in a perpetual cycle of bad dates and heartbreaks!).
As you know, I met my husband James online, so I’m a big believer in the power of dating apps. But it didn’t happen by accident. I’m always talking about the importance of mindset when it comes to manifesting your desires, and dating is no different. Do I think it’s possible to manifest your dream partner? YES. But you also have to be willing to do the deep work it takes to get there—and take brave, vulnerable action.
I may not be on the dating scene anymore, but I know many of you are—so in today’s episode of the I Heart My Life Show, I sat down with dating and relationship coach Melanie Hersch. If you’ve been dating for a while, swiping left and right hoping to make meaningful connections but getting ghosted instead, make sure you’re fully focused for this one.
Having started her career as a licensed marriage and family therapist, Melanie now helps hundreds of single women to rewire their subconscious limiting beliefs, stop sabotaging themselves in love, and prime themselves for the healthiest relationships possible.
In this episode, Melanie opens up about the limiting beliefs she had to shift in order to find fulfilment in her own love life, and sheds light on why so many women unknowingly attract unavailable partners and codependent relationships. We also talk about getting clear on what you’re REALLY seeking in a partner (6ft tall with a full head of hair, anyone?) and, in true I Heart My Life fashion, the importance of finding fulfilment in your life first.
Make sure you stay tuned to the end to hear Melanie’s top tips for optimizing your dating app profiles to attract your perfect match!
In this episode:
Quotes:
“Those beliefs were completely getting in my way and causing me to pull back and act weird and not be authentic. We have to be authentic if we want to cultivate connection.” - Melanie Hersch
“When we don't feel good about ourselves, we accept crumbs, and we trust unavailable men. We just roll out the welcome mat for them. And they come walking right in.” - Melanie Hersch
“Work on your self-esteem. Clear the beliefs that are getting in your way and keeping you stuck and feeling small and fearful. Fulfill yourself first. And then from that place, get out there—not because you need a guy to be happy, not because you’re looking to get something necessarily, but because your cup is full and you’ve got energy to share.” - Melanie Hersch
“We all want organic love. We want to bump into them at the carwash and boom, there’s your person. But the reality is, we’re only meeting a limited amount of people. So I’m a huge fan of getting out there and online dating.” - Melanie Hersch
“You need to be open and take action, because it's not just going to be hand delivered to you on your doorstep.” - Emily Williams
“Online dating is like marketing, because you want to put off the people who aren't right, as well as attract the people who are. We only have so much time, and you want to spend your time on dates with potential amazing partners who want to know who you really are, and be able to connect.” - Emily Williams
“When we can surrender and really trust that what is showing up is serving us—not go into victim mode, but really try to look for the gifts—life just starts opening up. But as soon as we clench or go, this isn't the way I wanted it to be, we block ourselves from the life that wants to come to us. We just shut down. So the more open we can be, the more trusting we can be, the more connected we are with source energy and ourselves, the sooner our dreams and beyond our dreams comes forward.” - Melanie Hersch

Searching for love, happiness, and abundance? Sign up for our virtual self-improvement summit, I Heart My Life Day. All day on August 14th, we’re serving up workshops with admired, revered and TRUSTED industry experts, as well as the inspiration, motivation, and practical tools, techniques and takeaways to help you design the life of your dreams.
If there’s one thing people always forget about the law of attraction, it’s action. It’s true, you DO have the power to change your reality by changing your thoughts. But it’s not enough to simply think your desires into existence—you’ve got to ACT on them, too. Yes, even when your desires feel further away than ever.
Easier said than done? Maybe, seeing as our actions are often based on the way we’re feeling—and our moods have a tendency to fluctuate (sometimes for no apparent reason).
So how can you train your brain to stay the course and keep your vibration high, even when nothing is working the way you’d hoped and all you want to do is throw in the towel? What can you do to dig yourself out of your pit of despair and desperation, and keep on chasing your purpose? How can you stop stacking up the problems, blaming everyone and everything around you, and defaulting to anxiety and overwhelm?
Well, lovely, that’s exactly what I’m talking about in this episode of the I Heart My Life Show. You see, I wasn’t always as in love with my life as I am today. And in fact, I still have the occasional crisis of confidence. A few weeks ago, my mindset was in the gutter. I was ready to cancel my yoga class and throw caution to the wind when it came to my next big business move.
Thankfully, my husband and Certified High Performance Coach James came to my rescue with an excellent question that now has a permanent place in my mindset toolbox. This is the one and only question you need to move from a mindset of lack to abundance. I’m sharing it with you in today’s episode, and trust me—this one simple shift will change EVERYTHING.
In This Episode:
Why there’s no use in worrying—and what to do instead
Quotes:
“I want you to really understand that the law of attraction is more than just thinking about something and then creating it in your life. You actually have to take action. The law of cause and effect is at play there. When we think about something, when we have a goal or we have a desire or a mission, it's not enough just to think about it. We need to take some sort of action.” - Emily Williams
“In those times where it feels like nothing's working, or it feels like you can't do this, you might be more likely to make a decision that hurts everything that you're trying to accomplish.” - Emily Williams
“How would you be showing up in this moment if everything was working out as you wanted it to?” - Emily Williams
“Everyone needs to know that they have the ability to shift their mindset on a dime. And most people don't have that information. Most people believe that whatever they get in life, that's just what they're stuck with. And so they have to make the most of it. And most of the time we don't make the most of it.” - Emily Williams
“Everything is unfolding as it is meant to, and you can choose to be the best version of yourself at any given moment.” - Emily Williams
“Think about it: how many unanswered prayers have actually been blessings in disguise in your life? How many challenges have been disguised as opportunities for growth? They felt difficult at first, but they helped you grow.”- Emily Williams

Have you ever set out to accomplish something, only to find that upon completion of the goal that it doesn’t bring about the elation you thought it would? Ever had an idea in your head of the areas you need to achieve in order to be considered successful, only to find that when you attain these things for yourself, it doesn’t feel as good on the inside as it looks on the outside?
Goals and desires are two very different things, and oftentimes they don’t work in harmony together. Learning to discern the difference will help you live a more fulfilling existence, and could potentially save you from going down the wrong path. The key to success in any area, it seems, is to know yourself wholly, and honor your wants and needs in any experience.
In my opinion, there’s no one better to speak on this than MD and Coach Alexandra Stockwell, whose energy and enthusiasm for life should be an inspiration to us all. Today, she’s fully expressed and in her element, but it wasn’t always this way. As you’ll find out in this episode, upon achieving what she thought were her main goals in life, Alexandra found she felt that something was missing, and so she set out on a journey deep within herself to find what she truly desired. This led her to a change in career that not only impacted her professional life, but her personal relationship with her husband, too.
In this delicious episode, we discuss how to recognize when something is not aligned, how to listen to the whisper of your intuition, and how to decide what you desire and say no to everything that isn’t that. To living life at full volume!
In this episode…
Quotes:
“I consider that a matter of grace that I'm able to learn very deep lessons without a lot of drama around me. I took it in as though it was a very big event and I changed my life in response to that awareness.” - Alexandra Stockwell
“The first thing is awareness. And for me, awareness takes me very far. It doesn't lead to paralysis. And so once I had the awareness, courage wasn't that far behind, and the main thing that I knew at that moment was that I wanted to be and do things differently than I had. That was about the level of clarity I had, which can sound pretty small, but it was actually massive, and that's why I was systematic. And I dialed down my practice and went on a sabbatical because that was doing something new.” - Alexandra Stockwell
“And I guess the thing that I would add is that mammals learn through imitation and we are mammals. And I think one of the biggest challenges - that isn't true with becoming a great entrepreneur or a great basketball player or any of these other things - but when it comes to relationships, we have such a lack of role models. And so I'm really devoted being a role model.” - Alexandra Stockwell
“It's such a reminder to really tune in to the energetics and what's going on for you and, and to really, you know, trust that if something feels off, there's something there to explore and to just be open to.” - Emily Williams
“I talk about the little whispers as well, because there was no rational reason for me to move to another country. [...] It makes no sense when you think about it, but I just knew. And then obviously met my husband James a year later online. And, um, it's so powerful and we have this internal GPS and yet, so many of us are not listening. We're not paying attention or we're ignoring and pushing it away.” - Emily Williams

When it comes to strategy, there is no one-size fits all approach. What works for someone else, might not necessarily work for you, given your different dreams, desires, wants and needs. Nowhere is this more true than in the space of sales.
Sure, there are tactics that are on trend, tried and tested and seem to produce great results. But if they are not in alignment with your core values and goals, you are unlikely to see the same success with them - and if you do, it won’t be sustainable. The good news is that you can construct a sales strategy that honors your vision for your business, and in this episode, I’m sharing exactly how to go about doing that.
The process involves a meeting of spirituality and science, and we’ll be making use of tools to help you access your intuitive knowledge. Whether you’re into woo or not, I believe that following your inner compass is key to creating a business that works for you. When you’re in alignment, you’re happier, things run more smoothly, and you are far more likely to achieve what you set out to.
Conversely, strategy needs to be straightforward, so I’m also revealing the 3 components of sales you need to consider to strategise step-by-step. Plus I’m unpacking why you should get comfortable talking about money (and how to do it). Spoiler: It’s actually beneficial to both you and your prospective client. I’m covering the common limiting beliefs that are likely blocking you from accessing abundance, and teaching you how to prepare pre-sale. Are you ready to dial in your 7-figure sales strategy? Then let’s get to it.
In this episode…
Quotes:
“Maybe the industry you're in is operating in a certain way, but that doesn't actually feel aligned to you. Okay? So I want you to get really clear on what it is that you actually want because that’s when you follow that, that's what's actually gonna make you successful. Not necessarily what somebody else is telling you to do.” - Emily Williams
“In the beginning, when you're building your business, most of the time you are pulling from other people for inspiration, but for those of you who are here and you already have an established business, now it's time to really sprinkle more of yourself into it and get clear on what really lights you up because that's, what's going to take you the distance.” - Emily Williams
“The people who are the most successful and the people who have seven and eight figure businesses, they're repeating strategies over and over and over. They are selling a certain product or program over and over and over. So they get those testimonials and people spread the word. If we just do one thing, and then we stop, you can imagine it won't have as much traction or impact.” - Emily Williams
“This is a question that comes up for a lot of people. People want to know, well, how do I price my offer? How do I figure out what people will actually pay? Now, I think about this in a different way. I think about what you want to charge for the offer first and foremost, because the truth is, if you're only thinking about your audience, then you're leaving yourself out of the equation and it's bound to cause you some problems. And what I mean by that is I have people who lower their price point because they think that's what their audience can afford to purchase. And then they end up resenting their community and their company, because it's not actually bringing in the amount of money that they desire.” - Emily Williams
“Most people have a fear of not being liked. If we go back to, um, if we even look at this from an evolutionary psychology perspective, millions of years ago, we had to, or not millions of thousands of years ago, we had to be liked. Otherwise we would not survive. We needed the protection of the tribe, but we no longer need that. And so it's not your job to make sure people are liked, it's your job to get them results, to get them the transformation, to support them in whatever the thing is that you are providing them with.” - Emily Williams

Sometimes you have high hopes, big dreams… and no idea where to start. We’ve all been there. For some of us, we have a deep rooted fear of failure that keeps us stuck in procrastination mode. For others, it’s fear of success that prevents us from moving forward. We worry what people will think if we actually achieve what it is we set out to, and how other areas of our lives will be impacted - for better or for worse.
Much of the time, we’re simply so passionate about what it is we’re working towards that we can’t seem to see the steps we need to take to get there. In this instance, sometimes all we need is a good conversation with someone who’s not in the thick of it and can help us break it down into bite size chunks so we can start taking action.
If you relate to any (or all!) of the above, then you are going to love this podcast episode, which is a real life coaching call with Jada Hartfield. She’s a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army who is currently working on answering her calling of my passion of helping and inspiring other women who want to go into the military.
In this episode, I help her get clarity on her next steps so that she can turn her vision into a reality, and there are tons of takeaways to help you do the same. We talk mastering your message and your mission statement, why vulnerability is a superpower when it comes to connecting with clients, and how to get your partner on board as you pursue your purpose. It’s time to stop dreaming, and start doing.
In this episode…
Why how you do one thing is how you do everything
Fear or failure vs. fear of success
How to get your partner to see your vision
How to create a coaching container step-by-step
How to break projects into bite size pieces
How to nail your mission statement
The power of visualization
Why vulnerability is a superpower
Quotes:
“So people will feed off of our energy. And so you need to be strong in what you know is your desire and your purpose, and continue to have confidence in that.” - Emily Williams
“We just need to be putting the steps in place and taking that action. And what it takes is you coming back to the vision and why you're actually doing this, because I know you're very passionate about helping women and you have a unique perspective and life experience. That means you might be the only one who can help them. And right now you're kind of dragging your feet, worrying about this man who's probably going to get on board anyway.” - Emily Williams
“Really start to think about how you want to set up the website. Do you want to buy a template? Do you want it? Do you have photos? What about writing the copy so that you can get that in the works and then you clearly are already attracting people. So if you have a shell of a program, what is it going to take for you to start charging for that and putting it out there in a big way.” - Emily Williams
“So you just owning what you just said, that you're the girl that helps women get into the military, whether they're aspiring or they're already in and like, you know, period... it's just super direct. So I would really think about, you know, what is that bold statement? That one sentence statement. It could even be what I just said. And that's what you share every time you get on video or you do a post about yourself, we're repeating that one line so that people really will solidify that in their mind.” - Emily Williams
“That's what's going to attract people to you because you have such a heart for this work. So if you keep displaying that, you know, and expressing the vulnerability, that's one of your super powers because you care so much and you've paved the way, and you're doing it, and people will be so attracted.” - Emily Williams

Want to know the number one mistake people make when it comes to attracting leads? Placing more focus on quantity over quality. Truth be told, without ensuring that the leads you’re acquiring are fully in alignment with what your business does and who you want to serve, you are setting yourself up for failure… because it’s better to have a smaller amount of high quality leads than it is to have tons of poor quality ones.
So what do I mean by high quality leads, exactly? This refers to someone who is ready, able and willing to buy from you - someone who LOVES your product rather than just likes it. In other words, it’s your ideal client, because let’s face it, not all clients are created equally. And neither are all leads.
In this high-value episode, I’m sharing everything you need to know about attracting the best possible leads for your business. I’m diving deep into the most common traps that entrepreneurs fall into, how to tell if you’re ready to launch a one-to-many program, and exploring the importance of marketing. Plus, I’m revealing the one metric you need to start tracking right away!
This episode also features a cameo from Mallory Majcher, our Head of Marketing who’s here to share what’s working in our business. In the fast-moving digital space, lead generation is something that is constantly evolving, but this episode will ensure you’re up to scratch with the tools and techniques you need to build a list of top quality leads. And the sooner you start defining and refining what that looks like for you, the sooner you can start scaling. So let’s start now, shall we?
In this episode…
Quotes:
“It's really imperative that you don't get stuck in this frame of mind. That marketing is not important. Now I know that a lot of people didn't start their business to become a marketer, but we have to fall in love with marketing, at least in the beginning, until we have somebody who can do it for us, because that's the thing that's going to allow you to actually do the thing that you want to do, whether that's coach or be a speaker or write a book, marketing is one of the vehicles to get you there.” - Emily Williams
“Now, the thing that trips most people up is that we actually think that all eyes are on us at all times. We think that people know everything that we're doing. We think that when we put an offer out there into the world, it's going to sell like hotcakes. And I hope that that's the case for you, but we need to really flex our marketing muscles and put ourselves out there on a consistent basis.” - Emily Williams
“I was in the program called B-School by Marie Forleo. And one of the things that she always said was a confused mind, always says no. So really think about your message when you're putting yourself out there as well. Is it clear what you do? Is it clear what it is that you are selling? If not, you might want to revisit that.” - Emily Williams
“I think most of us can agree, although we've slowed down a lot in our personal lives, through COVID, the online space is picking up and it's faster than ever. So we have to really take into consideration that the customer journey timeline is a lot shorter. [...] So we need to provide value upfront. We need to get them to invest a little, have a little skin in the game. “ - Mallory Majcher
“One of the things Emily always says is, you know, sales has to feel good. It has to feel in alignment with what you're doing, and that goes into lead generation strategy as well. It has to feel good. Otherwise you're going to be forced to show up in a way that's not authentic for you.” - Mallory Majcher
