In this episode, I welcome actor and musician Rivkah Reyes to the I Love Horror Podcast! Together, we chat about her acting career, how she balances life on screen with making music, and her desire to step into more horror roles and earn a place among the genre's Final Girls. We also get into what draws her to the genre and answer my favorite question: Why do you love horror?
Rivkah's Top 3 Horror Movies For the Episode
Of course, we also wander off topic to compare celebrity crush lists and consider a few less romantic possibilities, like being stalked by the curse from "Smile". We discuss how long we think we'd last if it attached itself to us, because apparently our shared love of horror needed a survival assessment. Along the way, I blow Rivkah's mind by calling Kyle Gallner a Scream King, leading her to realize just how many horror movies he's been in. It's a conversation that leaves us with plenty to laugh about, a newfound appreciation for just how often our favorite actors end up covered in blood, and some questions about whether loving horror would actually help us survive it!
Follow today's guest Rivkah Reyes on her social media pages, check out her amazing music, and let her know what you enjoyed most about the episode!

In this very special 100th episode of the I Love Horror podcast, I celebrate by bringing together some familiar faces from one of my favorite found footage franchises, "Hell House LLC"! Joining me are Adam Schneider, Vas Eli, Elizabeth Vermilyea, Bridget Rose Perrotta, Victoria Andrunik, and Gideon Berger, along with a surprise appearance from the man behind the madness himself, writer and director Stephen Cognetti! Together, we celebrate the original film's 10th anniversary, share memories from making the movies, reflecting on the friendships, and incredible fan community that have grown around the franchise. We also chat about genuinely frightening moments on set, the inspiration behind "Hell House LLC," Halloween favorites, and what everyone has been working on.
Of course, getting this group together means things go off the rails pretty quickly. From Gideon's background in mime and his clown friends questioning his choice of roles, to Stephen appearing almost immediately after someone says his name. There's plenty of laughs and chaos along the way. We somehow turn congratulations on a new movie into a conversation about discussing Halloween costumes, Bridget's love of European football, and hear why being surrounded by creepy clowns or dead people can get a little too real, even when you know you're making a movie!
Be sure to follow today's guests on Instagram, check out their work, and let them know how much you enjoyed the reunion!

In this episode, I welcome horror host, performer, and musician Blair Scares! Blair shares how her love of horror led her to create a show of her own, with inspiration from Elvira and some unforgettable encouragement from Dee Wallace along the way. We chat about bringing her character to life, creating her own music, and finding a home in the horror community before getting into her favorite scary movies and my signature question: "Why do you love horror?"
Of course, Blair and I get distracted, from her bizarre cow audition to the Happy Sac Kickstarter video where I acted in my underwear in a cold garage just to fund my first podcast. We also question the childhood double feature of "Dream Warriors" and "Cinderella," and learn that describing someone dying naked in the woods does absolutely nothing to narrow down which "Friday the 13th" movie we're discussing.

Animator and horror artist Kristin Handley joins the I Love Horror Podcast to talk about her love of horror, the films that fuel her fandom, and why we keep coming back for another scare! We get into what makes a horror movie stick with us and tackle the question every guest has to answer: "Why do you love horror?"
Naturally, we get sidetracked deciding what we'd wish for with our own One Wish Willows, and I blow Kristin's mind with my "Obsession" fan theory before making a very subtle, or painfully obvious, attempt to lure Curry Barker onto the podcast. Kristin also tells me to stop giving away good ideas for free after I pitch a way to market the new "Blair Witch Project" that could recapture the original's "wait, is this real?" magic. Along the way, we nerd out over our shared love of found footage and revisit the scariest moments across the "Hell House LLC" franchise, because nothing brings horror fans together quite like comparing which scenes cost us the most sleep.
Be sure to follow Kristin Handley on all her social media pages, and enjoy her amazing horror art. She will also be at the Frightmare in the Falls in Niagara Falls, Canada (Oct 23–25), so pay her a visit and let her know how you liked the episode!

Predator catcher and content creator Courtney ElizXbeth joins the I Love Horror Podcast to talk about confronting real-life horrors and the fictional ones she loves watching! We discuss what inspired her to start catching predators, how she approaches those confrontations, and the role humor plays in handling such serious subject matter. We also dig into three of her favorite horror movies: "Halloween H20," "Saw II," and "Final Destination 5." Our conversation gets deep when we talk about memorable kills, practical effects, and twists that still deserve appreciation. Of course, we get to the question every guest has to answer: "Why do you love horror?"
Things naturally take a few detours. We discuss Michael Myers' unexpected upper-body strength, imagine his second career as a Halloween interior decorator, and question why Jigsaw's instructions are apparently harder to follow than his traps are to escape. We also explore the questionable strategy of judging a date by their movie selection, debate whether predator-catching videos are the ultimate prank show (with consequences), and decide I'd be the funny guy in a horror movie who dies in a deeply undignified way. Naturally, the pool scene from "The Final Destination" enters the conversation as I give it the medical designation nobody asked for: "the ultimate colonoscopy." As always, thanks for listening, and be sure to rate/review the show on whatever podcast platform you use. As I always say: if you're a true fan of horror, every night can be a FRIGHT NIGHT!

I checked into the "Last Chance Motel" with questions for the cast and left with a newfound appreciation for my censor button. Heather Langenkamp, Monica Keena, and Zachary Roozen join me on the I Love Horror Podcast for a special mini interview about what excited them about joining the cast of "Last Chance Motel", written by Danielle Harris, Scout Taylor-Compton, and Brandon Slagle. Danielle Harris and Scout Taylor-Compton not only wrote/directed the film, but also star in it alongside today's guests.
Our conversation leads us into our shared appreciation for practical effects, which gets me a little too enthusiastic about one particular scene when talking to Heather Langenkamp about how impressed I was by her performance. Thankfully, the bleep button earns its keep and helps to make sure that no spoilers were given on this amazing horror film! I ask Heather Langenkamp and Monica Keena a very hard-hitting Freddy Krueger question. Zachary Roozen also tells me how great it was to be surrounded by some of horror's most famous, talented, and legendary female actors.
We also learn that you apparently haven't made it in the movie industry until someone mangles your last name. Before we check out, I ask everyone the question that brings us all together: "Why do you love horror?"
Make your next movie night a motel stay with this terrifying and well-made movie!! "Last Chance Motel" arrives on VOD October 6th. Legendary actor Andrew Divoff, best known for bringing the Djinn to life in "Wishmaster" and "Wishmaster 2," joins the I Love Horror Podcast! We talk about his acting process, how he landed his iconic role, and behind-the-scenes stories from the original "Wishmaster," along with the creative pursuits that keep him inspired outside of acting. And, of course, we get to the question every guest has to answer: "Why do you love horror?
Things naturally take a few detours. We discuss why more people need to give black-and-white horror movies a chance, discover our shared love of Egyptian lore, and dig into Andrew's favorite deaths from his top three horror movies—because a favorite movie is one thing. Still, a favorite death deserves its own conversation. Andrew also shares fond memories of working alongside the first "Wishmaster" film's incredible lineup of horror legends, and we take a moment to remember Tony Todd and Reggie Bannister.
It's a conversation full of movie memories, heartfelt reflection, behind-the-scenes stories, and the enthusiasm that comes from getting two horror fans together with microphones. Come for the "Wishmaster" stories; stay for the detours, the laughs, and a few more reasons to revisit your favorite horror films. Ariel Powers-Schaub, writer of "Millennial Nasties," joins the I Love Horror Podcast for a conversation about horror writing, movie obsessions, and the wonderfully specific opinions that come from spending way too much time thinking about scary movies. We dig into "Millennial Nasties," Ariel's approach to writing about horror, the films that shaped her taste, and why this genre continues to have such a death grip on both of us. And eventually, we get to the question every guest has to answer: why do you love horror?
Things inevitably go off the rails from there. Ariel and I quickly discover that we are both unapologetic found footage snobs, which means some movies are praised, others are judged, and no shaky camera is safe. We get into the weirdly delightful whimsy of Art the Clown, what we are hoping to see from "Terrifier 4," and why "Horror in the High Desert" works as a slow burn even though, several movies in, we have theories, questions, and absolutely no idea who the hell we are supposed to be afraid of.
This is what happens when two horror nerds with strong opinions are given microphones and absolutely no adult supervision. It's horror talk, hot takes, tangents, thoughtful criticism, and complete nonsense. Sometimes all within the span of thirty seconds. James "Murr" Murray joins the I Love Horror Podcast to discuss his career on "Impractical Jokers," his work as a horror novelist, and his new movie, "Don't Move," based on his award-winning book. We explore the independent filmmaking efforts behind bringing the story to the big screen, reveal some of the new cities where audiences can catch the movie, and discuss Murr's passion for creating horror. Of course, no episode would be complete without asking the big question: exactly why does Murr love horror?
Naturally, the conversation comes with a few surprises and hilarious distractions. Murr plays a recording of some late-night movie ideas he came up with while exhausted, giving us a glimpse inside his wonderfully unpredictable creative process. I also surprise him with a signed poster from the first season of "Impractical Jokers," leading to a memorable reaction and a trip back to the show's earliest days. Between behind-the-scenes stories, independent filmmaking, bizarre movie pitches, and plenty of laughs, this episode offers a side of Murr that horror fans and "Impractical Jokers" viewers will not want to miss. Angie Shriner joins the I Love Horror Podcast to talk about her work with Killer Fitness, her audio drama "The Sex Worker & The Rhinoceros," and her spooky, nostalgia-fueled cardio dance experience, Terror Twist. We dive into the unique way she blends horror and fitness, the influence the genre has had on her life, and what it was like seeing her aunt on the big screen in "Edward Scissorhands" and "Pet Sematary." Of course, no episode would be complete without asking the big question: exactly why does Angie love horror?
Naturally, the conversation takes plenty of entertaining detours along the way. We debate which celebrities we'd do the Time Warp with or bring back using the "Pet Sematary" treatment, while Angie gets especially excited when I bring up "Cool Rider" from "Grease 2." We also imagine what Carrie might be like as a stand-up comedian, tackle some truly bizarre icebreakers, and talk about Angie seeing "Buddy."
