I only podcast Free!

Hey Future Fish!

Join our hosts and our guest Anne for an episode at least two of our hosts didn’t even remember it existed, before rewatching. Maybe that’s also a good excuse for why it took us so long to publish it (in April 2023) after recording it in May 2022… But anyway – here it is finally, with spooky goldfish, a cheshire cat Haruka, an angry Nitori and so much more odd stuff. Only thing that seems a constant in this series: Rin being a jerk (part 3!), but we finally learn a little bit more why he is one.

Hey Future Fish!

The end of season 1 is near... But first, we get some really intense scenes between our butterfly swimmers with a lot of questions, a funny trip to a nameless tournament location, insights on Japanese cuisine - especially katsudon (with a short digression to another famous sports anime)  - and a surprisingly talkative protagonist. Also, this series has become a Marvel movie now.

Hey Future Fish!

Join our hosts and our beloved swimming boys on their trip to the local squid festival! Yes, you heard right: Squid! If you do so, you will learn all about Japanese squid dishes, Rei’s special abilities as a detective, Nagisa’s impressive winking and why Rin still is the biggest crybaby in the whole show.

Hey Future Fish!

In case you wonder where episode 7 is: We are still working on it. Since episode 8 is already finished, we don’t want to make you wait any longer and supply you with the newest discussion about our favorite swimmers.

In today’s episode Yvette and Anne talk about episode 8 of Free Iwatobi Swim Club: Revenge in the medley. They take a deeper look into Rin’s and Haru’s thoughts and why winning doesn’t always make you feel good.

Hey future fish!

After the dramatic cliff hanger at the end of last episode we finally get some backstory and of course a revelation. Join our hosts Bronte, Yvette, Franziska and their (possibly reappearing) guest Anne as they discuss season 1 episode 6 of Free! Iwatobi Swim Club. They talk about embarrassing stories, merchandise, convenient circumstances when stuck on deserted islands in a thunderstorm and goldfish.

Please be careful while listening: Do not fall into plot holes.

Still: One of the best episodes of season 1 of Free!

Hey Future Fish!

In this week’s episode of Free! Iwatobi Swim Club (Season 1 Episode 4) the top priority is to teach Rei how to swim. All other members try their best, but don’t succeed in the beginning. Maybe they first have to get new swim wear, so Rei's flow dynamics calculations are finally right.

Tune in to learn a little bit more about common swimming terms, ridiculous theories why Rei is a submarine and a short digression on voice actors and Ouran High School Host Club in the last part of the episode (Podcast coming out 2025!).

Hey Future Fish!

In this week’s episode of Free! Iwatobi Swim Club Haruka, Makoto and Nagisa finally find a fourth member (because Gou/Kou as a girl and their manager doesn’t really count obviously).

And guess who also got a new member: We did!

Meet our new host Bronte (B) and listen to her, Yvette and Franziska discussing similarities and differences between the new boy and Haruka, how KyoAni fixes plot holes and why Rin is a jerk (Part 2!)
