You may have read about some high-profile leaders who have recently and publicly renounced following Jesus.  John Piper’s son, Paul Maxwell, former Moody Bible teacher, Joshua Harris who wrote, I Kissed Dating Goodbye.  But maybe this hits closer to home. Dan Thompson, teaching pastor at Crossroad in GR helps us wrestle with what to do when someone walks away.  We talk about the heart of the Father who pines for his lost children, about creating space to wrestle with doubt.  Also, perhaps we can say to the one who’s walked away, “I don’t believe in that God either.”  And what should our posture be toward those who are committed to never coming back?  Then creating a safe space in our families to wrestle.  Please share if this encourages you!
