Well, that wasn't exactly the result many of us were hoping for, but at the very least we broke a record. Eric saw it all from the media box, Steffen enjoyed a drive from Canberra, Maj watched it with a burger at the pub and Cheryl did a 24-hour trip to Sydney.
History: Jackie Hadden, Matildas Cap 72
Following a three year period without any Matildas debutants, Jackie Hadden made her debut in 1994 against Russia. Jackie played for Blacktown in her pathway to representative football and won the Dana Cup in 1993 (U19).
Jackie played twice for the Matildas (1 A international) and went on to the USA, playing college football for Central Connecticut State University.
Coming Up
Maj - Tameka Yallop, she was the captain in her 100th game for the Matildas
Eric - Blacktown's own Jessika Nash, the woman who captained Australia at the age of 13 in Kyrgyzstan made her senior Matildas debut on Saturday, hopefully it's the first of many!
Cheryl - The Fans - all 36,109 of you for turning up and supporting the Matildas. Plus a big shoutout to Matildas Active Support ... we could hear you everywhere!
Steffen - Ash Sykes, she's returned to Canberra United and is back to terrorise A-League Women defences
