Ben Tyler is web developer and software engineer who specializes in data visualization- but that is just what he does during working hours. He is also a trail runner, mountain biker, skier, map lover,  music aficionado, devoted dog dad and soon to be human dad, creator of many things on the internet...just to name a few.  I sat down with my husband and asked him how he finds the time to do all of these things he is so passionate about and how he even got into having so many passions and hobbies he is good at. Ben tells us what his dream job is and what his definition of success is. Lindsay Woychick is a freelancer in content development and copywriting. She studied abroad in Spain, met her husband and has been there ever since! Joshua Seifert is a chef and connoisseur of all things food and cooking. We have similar family backgrounds and talk about what it is like and how fortunate we are to come from big tight-knit families with all of our holidays revolving around food. Josh tells us how and and why he got into cooking after graduating college with an English degree. We also talk a lot about his multitude of other creative outlets and hobbies he has and him starting a cooking show on Twitch (linked below)! Josh is like a brother to me and I am so grateful he shared a little bit of his grieving process when he tragically lost his mom in his young adult life and how friends can be of support in such a hard time. Chelsey Korman is a fashion designer as well as the owner of a branding company that aims to elevate small conscious and ethical brands. She is such a force and bright light in this world and someone you just always want to be around. We talk about how she got into design and how she now views fashion as art. She shares her vision for the world and her plans to help change the way we consume in order to protect not only our planet but also ourselves. Jessie Green is an entrepreneur that marches to the beat of her own drum. She has a special kind of confidence and is not afraid to be herself or take a chance. We talk about her short stint of a teaching career to then starting her own business, running it almost all by herself for 4 years and recently finalizing the sale of it. She talks about knowing when to move on from one venture to the next because it is no longer serving you the way it once was. We also got into this past year and how we both went through a similar rough patch and how she pulled herself out of it. We finish our conversation with what her plans are for the future, after moving back to her home state of Ohio from Colorado.

Kyle Curtin is a highly accomplished professional ultra runner currently residing in Durango, CO and someone I am proud to call my friend. He takes us through how he got into running and racing in ultra marathons and why he continues to run and what motivates him to go after not only big races but also world records. We talk about his general diet as well as what he eats while racing and how he knows what he needs to fuel himself. He also tells us about planning for big races and what it is like to be a sponsored athlete and how he lives without having a “career” or consistent job. Lexie Dorn is a travel extraordinaire by way of loads of personal experience as well as working in the travel industry for the last 4 years. Julia Dorsey is a fitness instructor and Engagement Manager at Endorphin Fitness in Denver, CO. Julia talks all about her childhood and major pivotal points in her young adult life that got her to where she is today. She shares her story of being a college athlete and we get into why she left her secure job at a startup company, even though even told her not to, and go full time as a fitness instructor and get more involved at Endorphin. In this episode I talk with my two younger sisters, Zoe and Bailey as a way for you to get to know me more and because I think it is fascinating how different we all are even though we grew up in the exact same environment with the same parents. The three of us are very close not only in our relationship, but also our age- only 4 years between the three of us, bless our mom’s heart for staying home and raising us!  We discuss our family dynamic, where we fit in the sibling order stereotypes, and what qualities we have taken on from our parents. Both of my sisters share how they have gotten to where they are today and the qualities they possess that have lended themselves to how they got there. We wrap up with some fun rapid fire questions that end with Bailey, in true Bailey fashion, giving the most odd but hilarious answer.

Since this podcast is all about learning about people and how they got to where they are now, I figured it was only fair to start by sharing my own! I discuss my life story from childhood to where I am now. Talking my ski racing career, developing an eating disorder, how I got into Occupational Therapy, meeting my husband, and how this past year has unfolded for me. If I am being honest with you guys... I did not prepare for this episode, I just sat down, hit record and started talking. So please forgive me for the awkward beginning/ ending and kind of scattered thoughts throughout- I thought about re-recording but I would rather just be real with my audience because nothing in life is perfect and we all have to start somewhere, right?!
