Deuteronomy 4:24 says, “For the Lord our God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.” God is jealous for you in the best way. He wants all of your affection. To rule and reign in every area of your life. In our desire to control, well, everything, we usually prefer Him to be a fire that we can contain, like on the wick of a nicely fragranced candle. But He’s not content with that. He wants all of you. And He wants you to have all of Him. The questions is, will you let Him have all of you?
