I recorded some cicadas out North Zulch, TX, last evening. I knew the rhythm wold be a bear, but I think I got everything tucked in pretty well. I also included a weird voicemail I got, and when I dropped it into Ableton it went nuts and really made the track.

I took my strings from 391, and since this is only my third track w/ DJ, I only reused one element. Also went 100% off grid. The drums are very-off but kind-of worked. Every instrument had its own time, so I went with acoustic guitar and drums running together. It all sits together if you give it a shot.

Standard Ableton drum kit + 2 instances of Analog + moody acoustic chords (same ones I always play) + accidental delay drone/tail from the Alpha Juno and Moog delay.

Disquiet Junto #391

I grabbed about 30 seconds of random radio from the 88-ish, lower-end of the dial. I have a magical relationship with an old Sony Sport jambox I picked up recently.

All went into Ableton w/ the following instruments: Ableton Analog, Arturia Piano, Arturia Analog Lab 4, and stock 606 samples. Quick and simple.
