  • I'm Not Going To Cry
On this episode, our guest or what I'd like to call our company, is Thee Nathan Vinson or as Twitter knows him, @TheGreatIsNate.
Nathan and I have been friends since our freshman at FAMU. After sticking with me through three majors, a slew of disappointments, set backs, life changing circumstances, Nathan is still here for me till this day. Together we discuss what it took for us to make it to where we are now and the inception of the I Wasn't Loud Enough The First Time Podcast.

  • Episode 39: YOU'RE LOST... in the rifts and runs! w/Milynthia
You're DROWNING in the sauce and the worst part is that it's someone else's!! What I'm saying is, you gotta find your OWN voice!! Stop getting distracted, discouraged and lost in the rifts and runs of life; embrace yourself, love!
This episodes company is Milynthia: A divine and beautiful being. Quite literally, as that is the meaning of her first name. What a great representation as she is a Singer/Songwriter who loves going with the flow and letting her lyrics and music evolve naturally. Milynthia has learned to gather the lessons from her Jamaican background and over all life experiences to create beautiful symphonies from the soul.

  • Episode 51: Save A Little For Yourself
My homie Kmatt (@heyitskmatt) and I FINALLY let y’all in! We have insightful conversations often and I thought it was time to share. On this episode we’re going there…. like…heavily against the grain. We’ve asked ourselves at what cost do you sell away privacy, access and honestly, sanity to socials and IRL!? Especially as communications/social media pros. We bring you this, not so original but very impactful notion of “Saving a little for yourself.” Hit us on our socials & let us know what you think!

  • Episode 53: Rest Is Reparations!
    REST IS REPARATIONS!
Take it back, take it all back.
Health, quality time, peace, etc. It starts by resting!
This episode was inspired by Tricia Hersey's book "Rest Is Resistance" and her page @thenapministry.
And no, it's not just about sleeping; rest has many forms.

  • I Wasn’t Loud Enough The First Time Intro
I wasn't loud enough the first time when I had been hightlighted for achievements at school or at the job, and vice versa, in uncomfortable situations and confrontational situations , etc etc. BUT NOW I AM GOING TO BE LOUDER. As a Black woman, as a thicc lady, as a young person. I'm literally going to scream until they let me out of these tiny boxes they tried to stuff me in. I wasn't loud enough when you put me in them, but now, it's a different story.

  • Season 2 Episode 12: AAVE: They Want The Rhythm, Not The Blues
Our roots are deep, BUT why are our limbs chopped down and the fruits of our labor stolen?
African American Vernacular English [AAVE] is a LEGITIMATE language and isn't just for #trendy videos where Black people are "imitated."
    .
    .
A multilingual scholar, culture enthusiast, and genuine Animal Planet lover all in one! My good southern friend DJ (greenlocd90sbaby) joined me as company as we explored AAVE.
    .
    .
We didn't hold back a LICK on this episode and proudly used AAVE all through the episode. Seeing that Saturday was #Juneteenth, it was only right to lay it all out this way.
    .
    .
Let's continue to embrace AAVE and Black culture without waiting for a co-sign outside of our community. Our stories of creating something out of nothing deserve to be shared. They don't have to come in compact packages to be more digestible to onlookers. *Message*
We hope you enjoy this episode!
