This Shadow Work Meditation guides you on a journey to reclaim the darkest parts of yourself that you have disowned in fear of judgment or lack of self-acceptance. Use this meditation as a tool to teach you how to accept these parts of yourself instead of resisting them. Through this practice, you will gain more clarity, understanding, and compassion not only for yourself but also for those around you.
Before starting, take a few deep breaths and observe the space around you to create a sense of safety. Once you feel secure, you can begin the meditation. If you feel uncomfortable at any point, return to your breath and open your eyes if necessary.
After completing the meditation, take some time to reflect on what came up for you. What messages came through? Are you able to take responsibility for the parts of yourself that you have disowned, avoided, or denied? Can you learn from these parts of yourself? By facing our shadows, we have much to gain and a great opportunity for expansion!
Remember to be kind to yourself and understand that whatever arises during the meditation is there for a reason.
