Iboga Radio Show

Named after one of the most powerful forces in the universe, MAGNETAR is Nico Defrost's playground of sound, energy and imagination.

Live instruments and musicians meet electronic landscapes in an experimental journey through light, darkness, fun and love.

A universe built in sound.

All things change in a dynamic environment.

The only good system is a sound system.

Love life.

Lostly and Protonica join forces to deliver a unique hybrid production titled "Lucidity".

Protonica, with his deep roots in the psychedelic world, and Lostly, with a rich history in uplifting trance, merge their strengths to deliver a release that combines emotional depth with an immersive psychedelic journey.

This album began as a deliberate act of time travel: the idea of uncovering forgotten 90s goa material and re-producing it as if it had been waiting decades for the right moment, the right tools, and the right mindset. The result is an album that is technically old-school goa trance, yet unmistakably modern. Not retro, not nostalgic, but reimagined.

The idea was simple: take the structure, logic and insanity of old-school goa trance and let it exist in a modern soundscape. Like turning found footage into a movie - the shapes are familiar, but the depth, space and weight belong to now. Acid lines breathe differently, arrangements unfold with intention, and the production carries a depth that could only exist now. This is goa trance as memory, filtered through experience.

The road to The Bigger Picture has been anything but short. Years of refinement, new mixes, remixes, a new mixer, constant recalibration, all in pursuit of an optimal final sound. The "final version" kept moving forward, so I followed it until, eventually, it stopped.

The Bigger Picture is not about looking back.

It's about zooming out just enough to actually see what's up.

With Atlantis Broadcast, Takkra opens a new chapter.

Recorded at Studio Atlantis in Lanzarote, the album reworks old and new ideas into a series of deep, atmospheric transmissions. Familiar elements surface and disappear, transformed into something fresh, unexpected, and often far removed from their original form.

Inspired by the legend of Atlantis, the album takes familiar material apart and rebuilds it into something entirely new. Somewhere beyond the horizon, Atlantis Broadcast brings together distant memories, imagination, and sound.

We Are Eternal returns to Sofa Beats with another release, continuing the exploration of dancefloor music at the intersection of mid-tempo trance and tribal folk rhythms and melodies. This release is an attempt to bridge the future with the ancient and forgotten past.

Kronos draws inspiration from the distant, fog-covered past and the forgotten cycles of humanity whose remnants are beginning to resurface in the collective memory. The track evokes visions of ancient advanced civilizations — before Egypt, before Atlantis, Lemuria, and Mu — and seeks to reconnect us with the lost wisdom of our predecessors.

Musically, Kronos is a powerful psychedelic roller infused with swirling sequences and an otherworldly atmosphere, merging the worlds of chilgressive and deep melodic downtempo. A Native American flute opens the portal, while haunting, mysterious vocals and hypnotic hang drum rhythms guide the listener into the forgotten past. Minimalist yet driving percussion steadily builds toward the drop, where epic leads and enigmatic melodies unfold. WAE's signature talking FM synths bring the composition to a cinematic and powerful conclusion.

Roots to Cosmos reminds us that in order to reach higher cosmic knowledge and transcendental realms, we must remain grounded and rooted in reality. Exploring our heritage and honoring the wisdom preserved within pre-Christian traditions opens pathways to cosmic consciousness.

Faster, also strong and stompy, the track features more intricate percussion woven together with glitchy cosmic phrases and immersive sound design. Massive melodic psytech leads carry the listener deeper into the cosmic realm, while acoustic and organic instruments maintain a connection to the material world. The drop introduces an unexpected melodic turn, revealing yet another layer of the journey. In the grand finale, an epic folk violin ensemble brings forward an ethno-Slavic atmosphere — a reflection of Piotr's personal heritage as the musician behind We Are Eternal. A massive acid lead then ties the entire experience together, bringing this epic ride to its final culmination.

Those tracks are designed for deep festival and club dance floors with the intention to connect us with high knowledge of the ancient past.

randomPLAY arrives on Sofa Beats with a collection of four playful and unpredictable cuts, drifting between hypnotic grooves, fragmented textures, and spontaneous club energy.

Built without rules or expectations, the release moves through different moods and rhythms while keeping its raw and instinctive spirit throughout.

From the rolling pulse of Spektrum 50/50 to the restless flow of One Day Different Something Else and the driving energy of Hypnotic Music for Running 174 SPM, this EP captures randomPLAY exactly as intended: free, curious, and impossible to pin down.

1. We Are Eternal - Spiraling Upward (Original Mix)

2. We Are Eternal - Unus Mundus (Original Mix)

We Are Eternal returns to Sofa Beats with a new release that seamlessly blends trance, mid-tempo electronics, and tribal organic instrumentation. The music reflects larger-scale cosmic processes and human ascension in this context.

Spiraling Upward stands out as a mid-tempo stomper rooted in psytech aesthetics. A driving kick and bassline merge with swampy textures, signature FM structures, and organic rhythms. Its punchy groove provides a deep sense of grounding, while a second – parallel bassline adds extra weight and support. Melodies and chord progressions— inspired by Icelandic landscapes and Scandinavian soundscapes— gradually unfold into a powerful arp lead that seems to spiral upward. Guided by the breath of a Native American flute, the journey invites dancers into deep cosmic exploration.

Unus Mundus draws inspiration from dreamy, dusty dub techno soundscapes, gradually building momentum through a determined kick and bass foundation. Organic syncopated rhythms and ethereal flute atmospheres blend with lush pads and angelic female vocals, guiding dancers toward a drop where a profound and surprising message from the future awaits. From there, the music unfolds into a trance-infused cosmic journey.

Crafted for deep festival and club dance floors, the release carries the intention of expanding consciousness through connection with higher cosmic realities.

Rising star Valar returns to Iboga with a compelling new journey titled The Message. Defined by a melodic, fluid flow and pure progressive psytrance basslines, the release draws the listener into Valar's sonic world from the very first moment. Impeccable production finesse and emotional drive make The Message a focused, immersive statement from an artist in clear ascent.
